King Palm built its reputation on hand-rolled palm leaf. The material is Cordia leaf, and the selling point is that it holds its shape without glue, dyes or artificial binders, because the leaf is sturdy enough to do the job on its own. Slow burn, plenty of airflow, and a flavour that comes from the leaf rather than from anything added to it. If you have heard of this brand, that is almost certainly what you heard about.

The hemp cones are a different line entirely. They are made from hemp paper, pressed into a cone shape with a filter tip already fitted, and they behave like a very good pre-rolled paper rather than like a leaf. Tobacco free, no additives, and considerably more familiar if you have ever used a cone from any other brand.

Neither is better. They are different things, and the reason to be clear about it is that a lot of people arrive at this brand specifically wanting the leaf. If that is you, our shelf will disappoint you, and we would rather say so on the page than let you find out at the checkout.

Which cone size holds what

One and a quarter holds about three quarters of a gram, king size about a gram, and our flavoured lines are all the smaller size.

We carry the hemp cones in two sizes and the difference between them is capacity rather than anything else. This is the single most useful fact for choosing, and no page selling the brand in the UK publishes it.

So the choice is straightforward. If you want a shorter session or you are sharing less, take the one and a quarter. If you want the full gram in one go, take king size. The three flavoured lines we stock are all one and a quarter and our king size line is the natural, unflavoured one, so on our shelf you are choosing between flavour and capacity rather than getting both. That is a limit of what our distributor carries and not of the brand: King Palm does make flavoured king size hemp cones, we just do not have them.

How many cones come in a pack is where the listings stop agreeing with one another, and it is worth being straight about that. King Palm's own product pages sell the one and a quarter hemp cone as a six cone pack and the king size as a three cone pack. Marketplace listings for two of our exact flavours, Banana Foster and Lil Lemon, say the same: one and a quarter, six per pack. A US wholesaler describes both configurations identically.

The box figure on each of our titles is a trade display count rather than a cone count. A cone display holds thirty packs, which is how a shop buys them and how we sell them, and the fifty on the papers listing is the same convention applied to booklets.

The hemp rolling papers need a specification of their own, because ours does not state a size and for a rolling paper that is the main thing you need to know. King Palm makes the flavoured hemp papers in one and a quarter only, which settles what ours are. A booklet holds forty leaves with forty unrolled paper tips, each leaf around seventy eight by forty six millimetres, from hemp fibre the brand describes as organically grown and free of dyes, bleaches and added chemicals. The king size hemp paper, which we do not carry, comes as thirty two leaves and thirty two tips instead.

The flavour is in the filter, not the paper

A sealed terpene bead in the corn husk tip stays inert until you squeeze it, so an unpopped flavoured cone tastes of very little.

This is the one thing about the flavoured cones that nothing selling them in Britain bothers to explain, and not knowing it is the likeliest way to be disappointed by them. The hemp paper is unflavoured. The flavour sits in a sealed terpene bead inside the corn husk filter tip, and until that bead is broken the cone tastes of very little.

King Palm calls it squeeze and pop. You pinch the filter between finger and thumb until you feel the bead give way, and from that draw onwards the terpenes carry through. Before that, a Banana Foster cone and a Natural cone are close to the same thing.

Two consequences follow, and both are practical. If you buy a flavoured line expecting it to taste of something immediately, you will conclude the pack is faulty when in fact you have not started it. And the flavour is under your control rather than the manufacturer's, because a bead left intact is simply an unflavoured cone. That is genuinely useful if you are working through a pack with somebody who does not want fruit.

The hemp rolling papers work the other way round. There the flavour is on the paper itself with a matching paper tip, so it is present from the first draw and there is nothing to pop. Same brand, same flavour idea, two completely different mechanisms, and no listing we found anywhere says so.

US smoke shops, US wholesalers, US marketplace listings, and the brand's own international site. There is a UK-facing King Palm storefront at a British address, sitting behind an age gate, and it carries roughly fifty words of copy with no specification on it whatsoever.

The one British page that does rank properly for this brand is stranger still. It is a Manchester wholesaler, it runs to well over a thousand words about King Palm, and it is trade only: it does not sell to the public at all. So the strongest UK page for this brand is one that an ordinary customer is not able to buy anything from, which goes a long way to explaining why nobody has written a useful consumer page about it.

That is unusual. Most of the brands on this site are fought over by six or eight UK retailers each. King Palm is a large, well-known name that hardly anyone here appears to be selling, or at least hardly anyone is writing anything about selling.

For you that mostly means one thing: buying from a UK retailer avoids an import. Ordering rolling accessories from an American retailer means international shipping on a low-weight item and, depending on the value, a customs charge on the other end. It is not complicated, it is just tedious, and there is no reason to do it for a cone.

Where the flavour physically lives is the axis nobody else in this aisle sets out, and it separates these brands more cleanly than the flavour names do. King Palm keeps it in a bead in the filter, so you decide whether to use it. G-Rollz infuses terpenes into the cone itself on its Cheech and Chong line, so the choice is made for you. Monkey King and Mr Tipp's do not flavour their cones at all.

One more thing worth saying plainly, since this is a CBD shop and none of the above contains a cannabinoid: if what you actually want is a rolling paper with CBD in it, there is exactly one in our aisle and it is not this brand. ROOR makes a CBD-infused king size paper. Every other line here, King Palm included, is hemp as a material only.

Strong on specification, the packing stick and a flavour you can decline; weak on palm leaf, which we do not stock, and on our own listings' cone counts.

Two sizes with real published capacities is more than any other cone brand we stock manages, and it makes choosing genuinely easy. The packing stick and the corn husk tip are small, practical and unusual in a category where most brands ship a cone and nothing else. The bead in the filter is the only flavour system in this aisle you can decline to use. And, rare across this whole run of brand research, King Palm's own website makes no health or benefit claims about smoking; six of the brands we have written up had a top-ranking page that did.

Against that: we do not stock the thing the brand is known for. The brand publishes navigation where it ought to publish information, so the capacity figures above came from third-party retail listings rather than from King Palm. There is only one natural, unflavoured line, and it is king size only. Our own listings cannot agree how many cones are in a pack, and the papers listing does not say what size booklet you are getting. And everything reaches us through a single distributor.

Where King Palm sits under UK law
