Half the headline number is CBG, not CBD

The Breeze pod is filled with a blend that a UK retailer sets out precisely: a 10ml prefilled pod containing five hundred milligrams of CBD and five hundred milligrams of CBG. A distributor listing carries the same split in its product title.

Only two of the ten listings we looked at say so. The rest, including our own product title, print CBD and CBG together as 1000mg and leave you to work it out. Nothing dishonest is going on, since a thousand milligrams of cannabinoid is genuinely in there. It is simply that a shopper comparing this against a 1000mg pod from another brand is comparing a half-and-half blend against something that may be all CBD.

CBG is cannabigerol, a different cannabinoid from CBD and one that appears in far smaller quantities in the plant, which is why blends like this exist rather than pure CBG products. We are not going to tell you what it does, because that is not a claim a shop is permitted to make and the evidence base is not ours to summarise. What we can tell you is what you are buying, which is a fifty-fifty blend rather than a CBD product with a little something added.

Check the refill before you pick a flavour

This is the practical warning, and it comes straight out of our own stock data rather than from any marketing.

The Breeze is a closed system. The pods are prefilled and matched to the device, so the flavour you can keep using is the flavour whose refill you can actually buy. At the time of writing that is a problem for most of the range.

Three flavours are available as a device but their refill pods are not: Blueberry Raspberry, OG Kush and Strawberry Cherry. One flavour is the reverse, Super Lemon Haze, where the refill is available but the device is not. That leaves Mango and Menthol as the only two flavours where you can buy both the kit and something to refill it with.

So if you buy a Strawberry Cherry Breeze today, you are buying a device that currently has no matching refill on our shelves. You would either wait for stock, switch flavour at your next pod, or end up with a rechargeable device you have stopped using, which rather defeats the purpose of buying a refillable kit in the first place.

We would rather say this plainly than let you find out a fortnight later. Availability changes, and this table reflects our catalogue on the date shown rather than a permanent state of affairs, but the pattern is worth checking on any closed pod system before you commit to a flavour.

The device, and why a refillable kit is the point

The hardware is straightforward and well specified for what it is. A 650mAh built-in battery charged over USB-C, a one ohm fixed mesh coil, draw activation with no button to learn, and a manufacturer figure of up to three thousand puffs from a pod. The liquid is an eighty twenty blend of propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin, and it contains no nicotine.

The pod holds ten millilitres, which surprises people, and it is worth explaining why. British vapers are used to a two millilitre cap on tanks and pods. That cap is part of the rules governing nicotine e-liquid, and a nicotine-free CBD pod is not bound by it. So a 10ml CBD pod is not a loophole or an error, it is simply a product the two millilitre rule was never written about.

The wider point is why a kit like this exists at all. Single use disposable vapes have been banned from being sold in Britain since the first of June 2025 under the environmental regulations covering them, and that includes disposable CBD vapes. A rechargeable device with replaceable pods is the compliant successor to that format, which is exactly what the Breeze is.

Not one of the ten retailer pages we looked at mentions the ban, which is remarkable given it is the single biggest reason this category looks the way it does now. A refillable kit is not just a nicer way to buy a vape in 2026, it is the format that is still legal to sell.

How the Breeze compares with the other pod kits we stock

Our vape aisle runs to twenty three lines, and six brands make pod kits. Hurb sits in the middle of them in a specific and useful way.

On pod size it is the outlier, and by a distance. The Breeze pod holds ten millilitres where Orange County's distillate pod holds one, Professor Herb's holds one and Aztec's holds two. That means far fewer pod changes, and it also means a much larger commitment to a single flavour at a time.

On labelling it deserves genuine credit. The kit and the refill are both stated at the same strength and the same volume, so the replacement pod is exactly what came in the box. That sounds like the least a brand could do, and yet Darwin, which we also stock, does not manage it: its kits and its refill packs are numbered in a way that makes a refill look weaker than the kit when it is not. Hurb, Orange County, Professor Herb and Iguana Smoke all label theirs consistently. Darwin is the one to read twice.

On cannabinoid content, Hurb and Darwin are the two brands here doing a CBD and CBG blend rather than CBD alone, so if that is what interests you the comparison is between those two. Everything else in the aisle is CBD only, apart from the H4CBD lines from Euphoria and Professor Herb, which are a semi-synthetic cannabinoid and a different question entirely.

Who should look elsewhere: if you want a small pod so you can switch flavours often, one millilitre from Orange County or Professor Herb suits you far better. If you want a device you can also use with a separate 510 cartridge, Iguana Smoke is the only brand here selling both systems and a spare battery for each. And if you want a plain CBD pod without a blend, most of the aisle is that.

Where Hurb is strong, and where it is not

Strong: the pod. Ten millilitres is far more than anything else in this aisle carries, and if you have settled on a flavour that means changing pods rarely.

Strong: honest kit and refill labelling. The replacement is the same strength and the same volume as what shipped in the box, which is not universal here and matters more than it should have to.

Strong: the hardware basics are right. USB-C rather than an older connector, draw activation so there is nothing to learn, a mesh coil, and no nicotine.

Strong: it is a rechargeable refillable kit, which is the format that survived the disposables ban rather than the one that did not.

Weaker, and it is the big one: the refill availability above. Four of six flavours are currently broken across device and refill, and on a closed system that is a serious practical fault rather than a minor stock note.

Weaker: the headline strength needs decoding. Half of the thousand milligrams is CBG, and our own title does not say so.

Weaker: no certificate of analysis is published for this range by the brand, by our distributor or by any of the ten retailers we looked at, and no cannabinoid breakdown beyond the split is available anywhere.

Weaker: almost nothing is published about who Hurb actually is. We could not establish a manufacturer, a location or any company detail beyond the products themselves, which is unusual for a brand this widely stocked.

Weaker: a ten millilitre pod is a large commitment to one flavour, which is the flip side of the strength above.

Who should not buy this: anyone who likes to change flavour often, because a 10ml pod is the wrong format for that. Anyone who wants CBD without CBG. Anyone who wants to read a lab certificate first, because there is not one published. And anyone drawn to Blueberry Raspberry, OG Kush or Strawberry Cherry specifically, unless you are content to switch flavours when the pod runs out.

Where Hurb sits under UK law

Two things apply here and a third does not, and it is worth separating them.

First, the cannabinoid limit. The United Kingdom test is one milligram of controlled cannabinoids, meaning tetrahydrocannabinol together with THCV and CBN, in the container. Not a percentage of it. The whole container, whatever size it is.

A retailer selling this pod states that it contains less than one hundredth of one per cent tetrahydrocannabinol. Turn that into milligrams and the reason percentages are unhelpful becomes clear. An eighty twenty vape liquid weighs roughly one and a bit grams per millilitre, so a ten millilitre pod is somewhere around ten and a half grams, and a hundredth of one per cent of that is approximately one milligram. That is right on the line.

We want to be fair about what that means. Less than is an upper bound, so the actual figure may sit comfortably underneath the limit, and this is a far tighter number than some we have found elsewhere on this site, where one brand's percentage figure implied several times the permitted amount. The honest conclusion is not that there is a problem, it is that a percentage this close to the threshold cannot settle the question either way, and only a per-batch figure stated in milligrams for the container can. We have asked our distributor for one.

There is also a small inconsistency in our own records worth flagging: our catalogue files this range as isolate, and a true isolate should carry no measurable tetrahydrocannabinol at all. A stated figure, however small, points to a distillate instead. We are confirming which it is.

Second, the format. Single use disposable vapes have been banned in Britain since June 2025, CBD disposables included. This is a rechargeable device with replaceable pods, so it is the compliant format rather than the banned one.

Third, what does not apply: novel foods. That regime governs ingestible cannabidiol, and an inhaled product sits outside it entirely. On a related note, one retailer page carries a warning not to exceed a seventy milligram daily figure attributed to the Food Standards Agency. That figure is out of date. The agency revised its precautionary advice down to ten milligrams a day in October 2023. To be precise about it, that advice concerns cannabidiol taken in food supplements rather than inhaled, so ten milligrams is not the governing number for a vape either, but seventy should not be quoted as current advice by anybody.

Buying Hurb in the UK

This brand is widely stocked. Several of the larger British vape retailers run a Hurb brand page, and we found ten shops selling the Breeze between them, so availability is not the issue.

Information is. Across all of those pages there is not one FAQ section, not one table, and not one mention of the disposables ban that explains why this format exists. Only one of the ten states the CBD and CBG split. None publishes a certificate. None converts the tetrahydrocannabinol percentage into anything a buyer could use. One repeats a Food Standards Agency figure that was superseded three years ago. And none of them tells you that most of the flavours cannot currently be refilled.

What we have added is all of that, including the refill problem, which is the single most useful thing to know before choosing a flavour and the item most likely to talk you out of buying one.
