Who Multitrance are and what they make

Multitrance trade from Diemen, just outside Amsterdam, and describe themselves as producers, wholesalers and retailers who have been cooking with cannabis since 1995. On their own site they claim more than thirty years in the trade and customers in fifty countries. Those are the brand's figures, not independently audited ones, and we present them as such.

What they are genuinely unusual at is breadth. Most brands we stock pick a format and go deep. Multitrance runs lollipops, chewing gum, gummy bears, mints, dark and milk chocolate, hazelnut cream cookies, cookie bites, a boxed brownie, instant cappuccino and hot chocolate sachets, black tea, pyramid tea bags, canned soft drinks and iced tea, plus incense sticks and metal rolling trays under their HaZe Holland line. That is eleven distinct formats from one producer.

The consequence for us is that Multitrance is the backbone of four different aisles rather than a single shelf. They account for 18 of the 32 lines in sweets, 11 of 21 in edibles, 9 of 14 in drinks and 11 of 21 in accessories. If you strip Multitrance out of this shop, three of those aisles stop being worth browsing.

The brand also sits behind names you will see listed separately here. Bubbly Billy Buds lollipops and gum and the MediCBD range both sell through Multitrance under its own product numbering, and Astra Hemp appears on its brand wall too. We list those as their own brands because that is how the packaging reads, but the supply chain behind them is the same Amsterdam operation.

Cannabis-flavoured or cannabidiol: the split that decides your order

This is the part the brand's own site leaves vague and every UK listing we found leaves out entirely. Multitrance run two parallel families of product, and they look almost identical on a shelf.

The cannabis-themed lines are confectionery made with hemp seed oil, flavoured and styled around named strains. Their own product imagery is filed under names that spell it out plainly: cannabis lollipops, no THC, hemp seed oil, no high. Hemp seed oil is pressed from the seed, which carries essentially no cannabinoids, so these are a taste and a piece of Amsterdam iconography. They are not a cannabidiol dose and are not sold as one.

The cannabidiol lines are named and numbered separately. Chewing gum comes in 17mg and 36mg, sugar-free. Gummy bears come at 300mg for the jar. Pyramid tea bags run 150mg across a pack of 20. The cream cookies and hazelnut cream cookies are 10mg each, as are the coffee and hot chocolate sachets. Bubbly Billy Buds lollipops carry cannabidiol in the name and the brand lists them at 10mg per lollipop, though the trade listing we buy from does not repeat that figure, so we have not printed it as a specification.

Read the name before you order and you will not go wrong. If the word cannabidiol is not in it, read the product as a flavour and a novelty rather than as a supplement.

How Multitrance compares with the other brands we stock

We stock 36 brands, which lets us do the one thing a brand's own website structurally cannot: put it next to its rivals and let the numbers speak. The comparison that matters here is not flavour, it is how consistently a brand tells you what is in the pack.

Multitrance and Euphoria are the two cannabis-culture houses in this shop, and both run large ranges where most lines are themed rather than dosed. Orange County, Hempthy and Cannapower are the opposite: smaller catalogues, but a stated strength on very nearly everything.

None of that makes Multitrance worse. It makes it a different purchase. Nobody buys an incense stick or a Space Cookie expecting a supplement, and Multitrance's chewing gum and tea are as clearly specified as anything on the site. The mistake to avoid is assuming the whole catalogue works the same way, which is exactly what the current search results encourage.

Where Multitrance is strong, and where it is not

Strong: nothing else in this shop covers as many formats, and the packaging is genuinely good. If you want a gift, a party bowl, a novelty for someone who has just been to Amsterdam, or simply a sugar-free gum that is not medicinal in tone, this is the range to browse. The chewing gum and the pyramid tea bags in particular are properly specified products that happen to sit inside a novelty catalogue.

Also strong: consistency of intent. Multitrance have never pretended their cannabis lollipops are a wellness product. Every asset they publish says no THC and no high. That is more honest than a lot of what is sold in this category.

Weaker: the naming. Lines called Cannabis Gummies, Cannabis Gummy Bears and CBD Gummy Bears sit side by side and only one of those tells you what you are getting. A shopper who does not read carefully will end up with the wrong one, and no listing in the current search results warns them.

Weaker: documentation. We could not find batch certificates of analysis published on the brand's own site or anywhere in the ranking set for this brand. Their frequently asked questions state that products contain no THC and that milligram content appears on each product, but no lab report is linked. Brands like Orange County publish their reports openly. We would rather say that plainly than imply certificates exist that we have not seen.

Weaker: pack formats. A lot of this catalogue arrives as 24-unit and 100-unit display cases, because it was built for shops in Amsterdam rather than for one person at home. Read those counts carefully, because on the chewing gum a 24-pack is twenty four packs of twelve pieces rather than twenty four pieces. That is fine if you are buying for a party or a counter. It is a lot of confectionery otherwise.

Who should not start here: if this is your first purchase and you want a specific, repeatable milligram dose, do not begin with Multitrance. Start with a brand that puts a strength on every pack. Provenance, testing and what we can and cannot verify

Multitrance manufacture and distribute from the Netherlands and ship worldwide from there. Their cannabidiol lines are cannabidiol isolate rather than broad or full spectrum, which is why our listings show isolate across the whole brand. Isolate is the simplest grade to keep compliant, because the other plant cannabinoids are stripped out during processing rather than deliberately retained.

What we can verify: the formats, the strengths printed on the lines that state one, the sugar-free status of the gum, and the brand's own published statement that its products contain no THC and produce no intoxicating effect.

What we cannot verify: any batch-level certificate of analysis, because none is published where we can reach it. We are requesting per-batch documentation from our distributors across the whole catalogue, and this brand is on that list. Until it arrives we will not claim a tested figure we have not seen, and you should be sceptical of any UK retailer who does.

Where Multitrance sits under UK law

Multitrance answer the legality question on their own site by saying their products are legal under Dutch law. That is true and irrelevant to you. A product sold to a consumer in the UK has to satisfy UK rules, and those are stricter than most retailers describe.

The consumer test is one milligram of controlled cannabinoids per container. Not per serving, not per sweet, and not a percentage. A container is the sealed unit you buy, so a big pack is held to the same absolute ceiling as a small one.

The 0.2 per cent figure you will see quoted on other CBD sites is not that test. It is a cultivation rule describing how much THC is permitted in a standing hemp crop grown under a Home Office licence. It is a farming threshold about a field, and it says nothing about what may lawfully be sold to you. The two get printed together as though they were interchangeable, and they are not: a percentage of a large container is a far bigger number than one milligram. Cannabidiol isolate products like these are the least likely grade to run into that ceiling, which is worth knowing when you are comparing brands.

Separately, ingestible cannabidiol sold in Great Britain sits under the Novel Foods regime and requires authorisation from the Food Standards Agency, with validated products listed publicly. The FSA also advises that healthy adults keep intake from food supplements to no more than ten milligrams a day. That is guidance from the regulator, not a dosing instruction from us. Buying Multitrance in the UK

There is a practical reason to buy this brand from a UK stockist rather than direct, and it comes from Multitrance's own frequently asked questions. They guarantee delivery within the European Union and list the 27 member states. The UK is not among them. Their own answer tells buyers outside that list to check their country's customs regulations and states that the company accepts no responsibility for customs delays, losses or damage.

That is a reasonable position for an Amsterdam producer to take, and it is a genuine problem if you are ordering confectionery to a British address. Buying from a UK stockist puts the import on our side of the border, gets the goods to you on domestic delivery timescales, and gives you UK consumer rights against a UK seller.
