Three phrases, all about the artwork. Not once is cannabis described as something in the biscuit, and no milligram figure appears anywhere, because there is nothing to state.

That is a perfectly legitimate product. A novelty biscuit with a leaf on the wrapper is exactly what it says it is, once you know how to read it. The problem is that nothing in the naming tells you. Cannabis Cookie Bites and CBD Cream Cookies sound like two flavours of the same thing.

The test is the one that works across this entire category: look for a milligram figure. A product that states one has the ingredient. A product that leads with the word cannabis and never states a number is selling you a picture.

Our supplier titles this product CBD Chocolate Cream Cookies. Our catalogue has it as CBD Cream Cookies, with the word chocolate dropped somewhere between the two. The image file attached to it is named for the chocolate version, which is how we know which one it is.

That matters because the other cookie in this range is the hazelnut version, and hazelnut is a declared allergen. A listing that says only CBD Cream Cookies gives someone with a nut allergy no way to tell which of the two they are reading. We have set the display name on this page to include the flavour, and the underlying catalogue record is being corrected.

The wider market is no better. A search aimed specifically at the chocolate variant returns the hazelnut carton as its first result and reports the hazelnut ingredient list as though it belonged to the chocolate one. The two are genuinely difficult to keep apart even at the source.

What it is like to eat

A soft-baked sandwich cookie with a cream filling, closer to a supermarket cream biscuit than to a bakery cookie. Seventeen grams is a modest size, roughly two mouthfuls, and the individual wrapper means it survives a bag.

The chocolate cream is the sweet part and does most of the work. Behind it there is a faint nuttiness from the hemp flour in the biscuit itself, which reads as a wholemeal or oat character rather than as anything herbal.
