Where the per piece confusion actually comes from

The trade specification for the range is clear enough. Take the 17mg strawberry version, which publishes its figures in full: 17mg of CBD, twelve pieces, 17 grams net. The milligram figure describes the whole pack. On the 36mg mango, the same structure applies, which works out at roughly three milligrams in each piece of gum.

Now look at the brand's own consumer website, bubblybillybuds.com. It advertises the product as CBD Chewing Gum, 36mg per piece. That is twelve times the trade figure, and it is published by the brand rather than by a shop that misread a spreadsheet.

One UK retailer manages both readings on a single page: its title says 36mg of CBD per pack, and its own web address describes thirty-six milligrams for one individual piece. That is not carelessness so much as a symptom. When the brand publishes one thing and the trade data another, everybody downstream picks one and the market ends up split.

Our position is to use the trade specification, because it publishes the working. A stated pack weight, a stated piece count and a stated milligram total that are consistent with each other is a better foundation than a headline figure with nothing behind it.

It is also worth knowing what the brand site looks like when you get there, since we are asking you to trust the trade data over it. The contact address on it is an unfilled placeholder. There is a stray navigation item reading California with no explanation attached. There is no company information, no country of origin, and no mention of the manufacturer at all. We are not drawing any conclusion from that beyond the practical one, which is that it is not the more reliable of the two sources.

Every 36mg gum is mango, and that tells you something

What a box of twenty-four commits you to

This is one of the few products in our range where the pack quantity is confirmed rather than assumed, so it is worth being straight about what you are buying.

This is not a single pack of gum. It is the wholesale case: twenty-four individual packs, each containing twelve pieces. Our supplier sells this line as a full box, which is why it is listed that way rather than as one pack, and the product name carries it for the same reason.

So the arithmetic on what arrives is: twenty-four packs, twelve pieces in each. That is a lot of mango gum for one household, and it is genuinely the right purchase for some people and clearly the wrong one for others. A shop counter, an office, or somebody who chews gum daily and has found one they like are all reasonable. Somebody wanting to try CBD gum for the first time is not, and we would rather say so.

The short version, and the parts that matter before you order. It is genuinely sugar free, sweetened with a combination of polyols and intense sweeteners rather than sugar. It contains soy, from the soy lecithin in the gum base, which is a declared allergen and the single most important thing on the ingredient list for anyone who needs to check.

The CBD is carried as CBD oil, with a small quantity of hemp oil listed separately, and the gum is coated rather than a soft chew. Mango here is a sweet, tropical, confectionery flavour rather than anything botanical, and as with most CBD gums the flavour fades faster than the chew does.

Who should not buy this

If you have a soy allergy, do not. The gum base contains soy lecithin and it is declared for a reason.
