What a 6000 puff rating actually tells you

Very little on its own, and here is the evidence for that from three pods we sell ourselves.

This pod holds 8ml and is rated at around 6,000 puffs, which works out at roughly 750 puffs per millilitre. The Hûrb Breeze pod holds 10ml, more liquid than this one, and is rated at around 3,000 puffs, which is roughly 300 per millilitre. The Orange County distillate pod holds a single millilitre and is rated at around 1,000 puffs.

So across one aisle the claimed efficiency ranges from about 300 puffs per millilitre to about 1,000, a spread of more than three times. A pod with more liquid in it is rated for half the puffs of one with less. Both figures cannot be describing the same act.

The explanation is that there is no standard for measuring a puff. Manufacturers test at different draw lengths and different power settings, and a shorter, gentler draw produces a much larger number from the same liquid. None of that is disclosed, and none of it is comparable.

The practical advice is simple. Compare millilitres, which are a fixed measure, and read the puff figure as a rough indication of the same brand's own products rather than a way of ranking one brand against another. On that basis this is a large pod, and 8ml is genuinely a lot of liquid.

Magnetic rather than click, and what that changes

Almost every pod in this aisle clicks into place. This one is held by magnets, which is stated on the brand's page and on the retailer listings without anyone explaining what it means in use.

In practice a magnetic fitting seats itself. You bring the pod near the device and it pulls into position and aligns the contacts on its own, rather than needing to be pushed until something gives. That makes it easier with cold hands or one hand, and it means there is no plastic clip to wear out or snap, which is the usual failure point on a click fitting.

The trade is that a magnetic pod can be knocked loose more easily than a clipped one, so it is worth checking it is seated after the device has been rattling around in a bag or a pocket.

The pod also carries a leak resistant shell and the coil is built in, so replacing the pod replaces the coil at the same time. There is nothing to refill, no coil to fit separately, and no part of this you are expected to take apart.

The 2000mg, and what 99.7 per cent purity refers to

Orange County publishes the split on the pod page as well as the device page: 1,000mg of CBD and 1,000mg of CBG. Half the advertised figure is cannabigerol, which is a different cannabinoid from CBD, non intoxicating, and not a controlled substance. Across 8ml that comes to roughly 250mg of combined cannabinoids per millilitre.

The brand's ingredient line also carries a figure that is easy to misread: broad spectrum CBD and CBG at 99.7 per cent purity. That refers to the extract going into the liquid, not to the finished pod. A pod that was 99.7 per cent cannabinoid would not be a vape liquid at all, it would be closer to solid distillate. What the number is telling you is that the extract used is highly refined before it is diluted into the base.

It is a reasonable thing for a brand to publish and a poor thing to publish without context, which is why we have spelled it out rather than repeating the figure and moving on.

Five flavours, all in stock

The whole range is available as a replacement pod at the moment, which is a better position than either of the other refill lines we stock.

One thing worth clearing up. The brand names its pod pages after the flavour and the device, so you will see phrasing like a Grape Burst pod for a Grape Burst rechargeable device. Pods are not locked to a matching device. Any flavour in this range fits the same device, so you can run Grape Burst one week and Pink Lemonade the next without buying anything else.

On character, Grape Burst is the sweetest and darkest, Miami Blueberry lighter in the same direction, Kiwi and Strawberries the most balanced, Kiwi Guava Passion Fruit the most tropical and the busiest, and Pink Lemonade the sharpest and the only genuinely tart option. There is no menthol in the range.

How it compares with our other replacement pods

Every refill pod on this site fits only its own brand's device, so this comparison is about which system suits you rather than what you can swap between. Nothing here goes into another brand's hardware.

This pod is the largest capacity CBD-only style pod we carry apart from the Hûrb, and it sits in the middle on concentration. Hûrb holds more liquid at a much lower concentration. Aztec holds the most cannabinoid in total. The Orange County distillate pod is the opposite extreme, tiny and enormously concentrated. Darwin's is the gentlest.

The legal position, and what happens to the spent pod

Two rules apply. The first is the cannabinoid limit: a CBD product sold to a UK consumer must hold no more than 1mg of controlled cannabinoids in total, meaning THC, THCV and CBN, per container. Each pod counts as its own container. CBG is not on that list, so the 1,000mg of it in here has no bearing on the test.

The second is the single use vape ban, in force since 1 June 2025 under the Environmental Protection (Single-use Vapes) Regulations 2024. A replaceable pod for a rechargeable device is precisely the format that ban was designed to move the market towards, so a 6,000 puff pod is not a disposable and buying one is not a workaround. Neither page selling this pod mentions any of that.

On the spent pod itself, and again nobody says a word about it despite selling a product designed to be replaced: it contains a coil and electrical contacts, which makes it Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment. It does not belong in household rubbish or kerbside recycling. Use a vape or small electricals recycling point, a household waste recycling centre, or a retailer take-back scheme, since retailers carry a legal duty to accept very small electrical waste.

Who should skip this one

If you do not own the Orange County 2000mg rechargeable device, this pod does nothing on its own. It will not fit a Hûrb, a Darwin, an Aztec or the Orange County distillate device, which uses a different pod entirely despite coming from the same brand.

If you want the most CBD available, half of the 2,000mg here is CBG, so a CBD-only pod at the same headline figure carries twice the cannabidiol.
