What a quarter cannabidiol means in practice

Twenty-five per cent means a quarter of the liquid by weight is cannabidiol and the rest is carrier oil and terpenes. In a 100ml bottle that is 25,000mg, and the brand's published figures work out at 12.5mg in a drop, 250mg in a full pipette and about two thousand drops in all.

That drop count is the same as the 12,000mg bottle, which is a useful thing to notice. Both are 100ml, so both hold roughly two thousand drops. The volume decides how many drops there are. The concentration decides how much is in each one. Those two facts are independent, and almost every confusing CBD label comes from mixing them up.

At this concentration the oil is noticeably heavier than the weak end of the range. There is simply more extract crowded into the same liquid, so it pours a little slower and it tastes considerably more of hemp: earthy, bitter, and slow to leave the tongue.

There is no flavouring in it. The ingredients are full spectrum hemp-derived cannabidiol, MCT oil and terpenes, and nothing else.

A pipette is not a serving

This is the part worth reading twice, because the pipette invites you to fill it and the arithmetic says otherwise.

The Food Standards Agency advises healthy adults not to exceed 10mg of CBD a day from food supplements, a figure it revised down from a far higher one in 2023. A full pipette of this oil holds 250mg, which is twenty-five days of that advice drawn up in one go.

Even a single drop is 12.5mg, so the smallest amount this bottle can produce already sits above the advisory figure. There is no way to take a smaller measure than one drop, which means there is no way to use this bottle at the advised rate at all.

We are not telling anyone what to take. We are pointing out that the pipette on this product is a filling tool rather than a measuring one, and that on the weaker bottles in the range the smallest available amount lands somewhere sensible while here it does not.

If that reads as a mark against the product, it is really a mark against buying it first. It is built for people who already know their routine and have decided it needs this much.

Will it crystallise, and how should it be kept

This is the question a 25 per cent oil genuinely raises, and no page selling it addresses it, so here is the honest answer in two parts.

Concentrated cannabidiol solutions can throw crystals, and cold is the usual trigger. But the concentration at which that becomes a practical concern is far higher than this, generally cited from around sixty per cent upwards. At 25 per cent this oil sits well below that, so cannabidiol crystallising out of it is not something to expect.

What can happen at any concentration is the carrier behaving like the fat it is. MCT clouds and thickens as it approaches freezing and clears again once it warms up. If a bottle goes cloudy after a night somewhere cold, that is the MCT and not the cannabinoid, and warming it in the hand restores it. It is not a fault and it does not change what is in the bottle.

The practical guidance, which nobody publishes for this product, is ordinary. Keep it upright, capped, somewhere cool and dark, away from a windowsill or a radiator, and out of the fridge. Light and heat are worse for an oil over months than cold is.

Worth adding that no shelf life or best before date is published by the brand or by any shop selling it, which on a container this size is a real omission, since a bottle holding two thousand drops will be open for a long time.

The strongest oil on the market, and what we can actually check

Orange County describes this as the strongest CBD oil currently available on the market. We are not going to repeat that, because nobody audits the UK CBD market for the strongest oil and there is no way to stand it up.

What is checkable is narrower and still worth saying. This is the most concentrated oil Orange County makes, at 25 per cent against 20 for the next two bottles down, and it delivers more in a drop than anything else in the range.

That distinction matters more on this range than most, because the label usually points the wrong way. The 12,000mg bottle carries a bigger number than the 2,000mg and is half its strength in a drop. The 6,000mg and the 2,000mg look three times apart and are identical. On this bottle, for once, the big number and the strong drop agree.

One more attribution to get right. The first place tincture award from 2020 that appears on this listing belongs to the 6000mg oil. The brand is straightforward about that, describing this product as following in its footsteps rather than being the winner, though several shops reselling it are less careful.

Full spectrum, the certificate and the approval claim

The extract is full spectrum, meaning it retains the plant's other compounds rather than having them stripped out, and that includes THC by design.

So this page carries no THC figure. The UK test is 1mg of controlled cannabinoids in total per container, counted as an absolute quantity rather than as a percentage, and on a 100ml container that is demanding. We hold no per-batch certificate for the stock we would ship and we will not print a number we cannot stand behind. The brand does publish lab reports on its own site, and matching one to your batch is the only real answer.

The listing also carries a claim that the cold-pressed process means FSA approval is not required. The short version is that cold pressing is an extraction method, not a regulatory exemption, and the exemption being invoked belongs to hemp seed oil, which carries essentially no cannabinoids.

Blazed, one of our two distributors, lists this same product as an MCT tincture oil, which is a fourth name for a range already sold as oil, drops and tincture depending on the shop. It is the same bottle throughout.

Availability

Our distributors hold this line at the time of writing, and the brand's own shop shows it as back-ordered with a lead time of a week and a half or more.

That is now the fourth Orange County oil in a row in the same position. At one line it looks like chance; at four it reads as a supply position across the range. Distributor stock is a separate pool and the product is obtainable now, but a shortage at source eventually reaches the trade.

None of the pages ranking for this bottle mention stock in either direction.

Who should not buy this

Anyone who has not already settled on a large daily amount. The smallest measure this bottle produces is above the official advisory figure, so there is nowhere to start from. The 500mg bottles move in much finer steps.

Anyone who takes CBD occasionally. Two thousand drops with no published shelf life is a long relationship with one bottle.

Anyone who wants certainty about THC. This is full spectrum by design, no certificate is in our hands, and no honest figure is available from anyone selling it.

Anyone who finds the taste of hemp difficult. This is the most concentrated oil in the range and it tastes accordingly. Capsules and gummies carry the same compound without it.

And anyone assuming a bigger bottle is simply better. On this range that assumption has been wrong more often than right, and it is worth reading the two comparison pages linked below before deciding.
