Psycho Bunny CBD Vape Liquid 300mg, 30ml

There are two Psycho Bunny ranges and only one of them has CBD in it

This is the reason the page exists, so it goes first.

Psycho Bunny is an e-liquid brand from the UK house Eco Vape, and the overwhelming majority of what it makes is ordinary vape juice. There is a 10ml freebase line in 3mg, 6mg and 12mg nicotine. There is a 50ml zero-nicotine shortfill line sitting in a 60ml bottle with headroom for a nicotine shot. There are nicotine shots themselves, in VG base, PG base, salt and ice versions, and a range of DIY flavour concentrates. We checked the brand's own product feed while researching this page: seven product lines, and not one of them is a CBD product.

The CBD version, which is what this listing is, reaches the UK through trade distribution rather than through the brand's own shop. That is unusual and it is worth knowing, because it means the manufacturer's website is no help at all in confirming what you are buying.

Now the part that actually catches people out. Kush Cake, Well Baked and Yellow Mirage are all flavours in the non-CBD range too. A Kush Cake shortfill is 50ml of 80 per cent VG liquid with zero nicotine and zero cannabinoid, described by the people selling it as best baked cake infused with OG Kush terpenes, and its own strapline reads no high, no chill, just flavour. That is an honest line and we are glad it is there. But the word Kush, an OG Kush terpene profile and a cannabis-adjacent name on a bottle add up to something a lot of buyers reasonably read as a CBD product.

If you want CBD, the figure to look for is 300mg on a 30ml bottle. If a Psycho Bunny listing says 50ml, 100ml, 60ml shortfill, 80 VG, 3mg, 6mg, 12mg or nic salt, it is the other range.

300mg in 30ml is 10mg in every millilitre, which is one per cent

A milligram figure on the front of a bottle tells you almost nothing until you divide it by the bottle size, and CBD e-liquid is the category where that bites hardest, because the same 300mg appears on 10ml bottles and 30ml bottles alike.

Here the arithmetic is easy. Three hundred milligrams spread through thirty millilitres gives ten milligrams in each millilitre. Turn that into a percentage by dividing by ten, because a millilitre of e-liquid weighs roughly a gram and one per cent of a gram is ten milligrams. So this is a one per cent CBD liquid.

That conversion is worth doing yourself every time, because it is frequently stated wrongly. While researching this page a live search result confidently reported that ten milligrams in a millilitre equals ten per cent, and that a 300mg bottle holds thirty milligrams in each millilitre. Both are wrong. The first is out by a factor of ten and the second is only true if the bottle is 10ml.

The rest of the specification is straightforward. It is CBD isolate, meaning purified CBD with the rest of the plant stripped out, so there is no THC, no CBN and no minor cannabinoid content. The base is an even split of vegetable glycerine and propylene glycol. There is no nicotine in it and none is meant to be added.

The mildest CBD e-liquid on our shelves, by a distance

We stock nine CBD e-liquids and it is only useful to compare them once every one has been reduced to the same unit. Reduced that way, this one sits on its own at the bottom.

At ten milligrams in a millilitre, Psycho Bunny is three times milder than the next mildest thing we carry, and five times milder than the strongest. That is not a criticism. It is a straightforward statement of what the liquid is for, and there are two good reasons to want it.

The first is that you are new to vaping CBD and would rather find your own level upwards than discover you have overshot. The second is that you want something you can vape steadily through a day without the flavour turning heavy, which is what tends to happen at three and five per cent.

The honest counterweight, and the reason this section is not a sales pitch, is that anyone already vaping CBD at thirty or fifty milligrams in a millilitre will find this noticeably thinner than what they are used to. If that is you, the Orange County and Darwin liquids below are where to look instead.

Kush Cake, Well Baked and Yellow Mirage

All three are dessert flavours, which is Psycho Bunny's whole personality across both ranges, so nobody should arrive here expecting a fruit or a menthol.

Kush Cake is the outlier and the interesting one. It is a baked cake flavour carrying a Kush terpene profile, so it reads herbal and slightly resinous underneath the sweetness rather than purely confectionery. Those terpenes are added aroma compounds, not something extracted alongside the CBD, because isolate arrives at the blender as a purified powder with nothing else attached. If you have ever wondered why an isolate liquid can still taste faintly of the plant, that is why: somebody put it back in deliberately.

Well Baked is a cherry bakewell, which is to say almond and marzipan against a cooked cherry. It is the sweetest of the three and the one that behaves most like a traditional dessert vape.

Yellow Mirage is lemon meringue, and the description that travels with it across every range mentions tart and sour undertones, which is fair. It is the lightest of the three and the one least likely to feel cloying by mid afternoon.

One general note about isolate liquids, since it applies to all three. With no plant material left in the extract, what you taste is very close to purely the flavouring. Broad spectrum liquids like the Orange County range carry a faint background from the extract itself that some people like and others would rather do without.

What to put it in, and what not to

A 50/50 base is the deciding factor here, more than the CBD figure is.

An even split of vegetable glycerine and propylene glycol is thin liquid. It wicks quickly, carries flavour crisply, and suits a mouth to lung coil or a refillable pod running at modest power. Put it in a refillable pod kit and it will behave exactly as intended.

Put it in a sub ohm tank built for thick 70/30 or 80/20 juice and two things go wrong. The liquid floods past the wick because it is thinner than the coil expects, and the vapour it makes at high power gets hot and harsh rather than dense. That is a mismatch of base to device, not a fault in the liquid.

There is a second consideration specific to CBD. At ten milligrams in a millilitre you get through more liquid to reach a given amount of CBD than you would on a stronger bottle, so a device that sips rather than gulps suits this one better. Mouth to lung pods sip. Sub ohm tanks gulp.

Where a 30ml nicotine-free CBD bottle sits in UK law

Two rules get mixed up constantly here, so it is worth setting them out plainly.

The first is the size of the bottle. The ten millilitre limit that vapers are used to comes from the rules covering nicotine-containing e-liquid. This liquid contains no nicotine, so that limit does not apply to it, which is why CBD e-liquids are routinely sold in 30ml, 50ml and 60ml bottles without anything being irregular about it.

The second is the cannabinoid content. The consumer test in the UK is a maximum of 1mg of controlled cannabinoids, meaning THC and its relatives, in the whole container. Not a percentage, not a figure per dose, and not per millilitre: 1mg in the container, whatever size that container happens to be. The 0.2 per cent figure that circulates widely is a farming rule about the THC content of a growing hemp crop under a Home Office cultivation licence, and it has nothing to do with what may be sold to a consumer. On a 30ml bottle, applying it as a consumer test would allow roughly sixty milligrams, sixty times what the actual rule permits.

CBD isolate makes that test easy to satisfy, because purification removes the other cannabinoids along with everything else. There is nothing controlled left in the extract to count.

Two more points. CBD vapes sit outside the Novel Foods regime, which governs things you swallow, so an authorisation number is neither expected nor available for a vape liquid, and any listing that claims one for a vape has confused two different rulebooks. And the Food Standards Agency figure of ten milligrams a day is precautionary advice about CBD taken in food supplements. It is not a vaping instruction and it is not a legal cap.

Who should skip this one

Anyone with an established CBD vaping habit. At one per cent this is the mildest liquid we carry and it will feel thin next to a three or five per cent bottle. Go to the Orange County or Darwin ranges instead.

Anyone running a sub ohm, direct to lung setup. The 50/50 base is wrong for it and no amount of good flavour compensates for a flooded coil.

Anyone shopping for the Kush Cake they saw somewhere else. There is a strong chance the bottle they are remembering was the zero-cannabinoid shortfill, which is a different product with a different base at a different bottle size, and we do not stock it.

And anyone who dislikes dessert flavours outright. Every flavour in this range is a pudding. There is no fruit, no menthol and no tobacco option in the CBD version at all.
