Cali Range or standard range, and how to tell which one you want

Orange County makes two 50ml e-liquids at 1,500mg. They share a strength, a bottle size and a brand, and they have almost nothing else in common. We stock both, which is why this page can say so.

The Cali Range, the one you are looking at, is the strain led line. Its flavours are named after cannabis strains and infused with natural terpenes so the aroma reads as the strain rather than as sweets. Orange County's own description of the range is that it is the closest you can get to those original strains.

The standard range is the sweet shop line. Its flavour list runs Energy, Energy Ice, Heisen, Mango Ice, Menthol, Pink Lemonade, Rainbow Candy, Sour Blue Raspberry, Strawberry and Lime, The OC, and Tobacco. No terpene infusion, no strain names, no earthiness. If you want a straightforward fruit or menthol vape, that is the range to look at, and it is a genuinely better pick for some people.

Every competitor page we examined for this product ignores the other range completely, which is how buyers end up with a bottle of Tobacco when they wanted Pineapple Express.

Every flavour in the Cali picker, with lineage where it is published

Flavour lists for this liquid are a mess across the wider web. Of the pages we tore down, one names eight flavours, another eight, another nine, and two name ten. None of them says which are actually available.

Our picker carries eleven entries, and honesty requires an explanation of that number. Orange County publishes ten flavours. The eleventh entry exists because our two supply routes name one flavour differently: one calls it Star Dawg, the other calls it Star Dawg Kush. It is the same liquid under two supplier names, not a secret eleventh flavour, and we would rather say that than pad a count.

Where Orange County publishes the strain parentage, it is in the table below. Where the brand has not published it, the column says so rather than guessing, because inventing a lineage for a flavour is exactly the sort of thing that makes product copy worthless.

Broadly the range splits three ways. There is a dessert group where the sweetness leads, a citrus and tropical group that is the brightest on the inhale, and a small dark group built on grape, diesel and earth. Kush Mint is the only one with any cooling to it, and even that is mild by e-liquid standards.

30mg in every millilitre, and what 60VG/40PG does to your device choice

The label says 1500mg and 3 per cent. The figure that actually matters when you are vaping is 30mg of CBD in each millilitre, and not one page in the ranking set states it.

A millilitre is roughly one refill on a typical mouth to lung pod, so a fill carries about 30mg of CBD and you work through it across a session rather than in a few draws. That places this liquid in the middle of our shelf: stronger than a 300mg starter bottle, gentler than the 50mg per millilitre liquids further up.

The base ratio is where this liquid genuinely differs from most CBD e-liquid. At 60VG/40PG it is thick enough for a sub ohm coil and thin enough to wick in a tight mouth to lung pod, and Orange County states the range is built to handle hot coils. Most CBD liquid is high PG and floods a sub ohm tank. This one does not, which makes it one of the few CBD bottles that works if a direct to lung device is the only hardware you own.

Two practical notes. Inhaled CBD reaches you through the lungs rather than the gut, so comparing a vape strength directly against an oil strength does not really work, and the two are better thought of as separate formats. And a sub ohm setup will get through 50ml considerably faster than a pod will, so a lower power kit is the more sensible home for a concentrated liquid if you have the choice.

Broad spectrum with terpenes, and what that means in the bottle

Broad spectrum extract keeps a wide set of hemp compounds while removing THC during processing. That is different from isolate, which is refined down until only cannabidiol remains and everything else from the plant is stripped out.

For this liquid the difference is audible in the flavour. Broad spectrum carries a faint earthiness that isolate does not, and the Cali Range leans into it deliberately by adding natural terpenes on top. That is why Girl Scout Cookies here tastes biscuity with something herbal underneath, where a comparable isolate liquid would taste of biscuit alone. Whether you like that is a real preference and worth knowing about before you commit to 50ml of it.

One inconsistency worth flagging. Orange County sells the Cali Range as broad spectrum, and says plainly that it contains no THC because THC is a controlled substance in the UK. At least one retailer in the ranking set publishes an ingredients line for this exact range that names cannabidiol isolate instead. Those two statements describe different products and both cannot be right. The manufacturer's own specification is broad spectrum, and that is what we list it as.

The terpenes are the reason the range exists. They are the aromatic compounds that give a cannabis strain its smell, and adding them back to a THC free extract is how you get an e-liquid that reads as Pineapple Express rather than as pineapple.

How this sits against the other CBD e-liquids we stock

A brand's own website cannot do this section, because it only has one range to talk about. Not one reseller in the ranking set does it either, which is odd, because it is the question most buyers actually have.

Against our shelf, the Cali 1500mg is the mid strength terpene option. Its own 2500mg sibling is the same liquid at roughly 50mg per millilitre, and worth knowing that Cherry OG Kush is currently unavailable at that strength but in stock here. The 300mg 10ml is the same eleven flavours in a bottle small enough to find out whether you like the earthiness before buying five times as much.

Step outside Orange County and the trade is spectrum against strength. Darwin carries more CBD and more flavours but is isolate, so the flavour comes only from the flavouring. Professor Herb and Psycho Bunny are isolate too. If terpenes and a strain character are the point, the Cali Range is the only line on this site that does it in a bottle.

Where a 50ml CBD bottle sits under UK law

The test that applies to a CBD product sold to a UK consumer is that the container must hold no more than 1mg of controlled cannabinoids, meaning THC, THCV and CBN. Not per dose, not per serving, and not as a percentage. Per container, whatever size that container is.

This matters more on a 50ml bottle than on almost anything else we sell, because of what the widely repeated alternative figure does to the arithmetic. Three of the pages ranking for this product, including the one currently in first place, publish a 0.2 per cent THC figure as though it were the consumer rule. It is not. It is a farming rule that caps THC in the standing hemp crop grown under a Home Office cultivation licence, and it says nothing about what may lawfully be sold to you. Applied to this bottle it would permit roughly 100mg of THC in 50ml, which is one hundred times the actual limit. As a broad spectrum liquid with THC removed, this product sits inside the real test comfortably.

Vapes also sit outside the FSA Novel Foods regime, which covers ingestible CBD such as oils, capsules, gummies and drinks. One page in the ranking set describes this liquid as a lifestyle supplement. It is not a supplement of any kind, it is not eaten, and daily intake advice written for food supplements does not apply to an inhaled product.

Finally, single use vapes including CBD disposables have been banned in the UK since 1 June 2025 under the Environmental Protection (Single-use Vapes) Regulations 2024. A refillable device plus a bottle like this one is the compliant format. Everything on this site is 18+ only.

Who should skip this one

If you dislike earthy or herbal notes in a vape, skip the Cali Range entirely and take the standard Orange County range instead. The terpene infusion is the whole point of this line, and it is not a garnish you can ignore. Plenty of people try a strain flavour once and go straight back to fruit.

If you have never vaped CBD, 50ml is a large commitment to a flavour character you have not tried. The 300mg 10ml carries the same eleven entries in the picker and answers that question properly first.

If you specifically want the highest CBD concentration we carry, this is not it, and the 2500mg version of this same liquid or an isolate bottle further up the shelf will get you there.
