50mg of CBD in every millilitre, and what that means in use

The number on the label is 3,000mg. The number that matters when you are actually vaping is 50mg per millilitre, and that is the figure almost no listing for this product bothers to translate.

A single millilitre is roughly a full pod refill on most mouth to lung devices. So one fill of a small pod carries around 50mg of CBD, and you will work through it across a session rather than in one draw. Vapers moving over from a 300mg or 600mg CBD liquid usually find they take far fewer puffs to reach the same place, which is the whole point of buying a concentrated bottle.

Inhaled CBD also behaves differently from a gummy or an oil. It reaches the bloodstream through the lungs rather than the gut, which is why comparing a vape strength directly against an oil strength does not really work. Think of the two as separate formats rather than two doses of the same thing.

All nineteen Darwin flavours, profiled

Darwin runs one of the widest flavour ranges in UK CBD vaping, and every retailer we checked lists them as a single unpunctuated string of names. Several of those lists are also out of date: one names eleven flavours, another names fifteen. There are nineteen.

The range splits roughly three ways. There is a sweet shop group built on confectionery flavours, a fruit group leaning tropical and berry, and a menthol group where the cooling agent is the point rather than a garnish. Four of the nineteen carry menthol or ice in the name, and those are noticeably sharper on the inhale.

Which devices suit this liquid, and which do not

Darwin publishes this liquid as 80PG / 20VG. That is a high propylene glycol formula, and it decides the answer to almost every device question people ask about it.

High PG liquid is thin. It wicks quickly into small, tight coils and carries flavour hard. That makes it a natural fit for mouth to lung pod systems, refillable pod kits and older style starter tanks, which is exactly where most CBD vaping happens.

It is a poor fit for a sub ohm tank or a direct to lung device. Those coils are built for thick, high VG liquid; a thin PG liquid floods them, leaks past the seals, and at 50mg of CBD in every millilitre the vapour becomes harsh long before you get a satisfying cloud out of it. You would also work through a 60ml bottle at a rate that makes no sense for a concentrated product.

One thing worth flagging: retailer listings for this liquid disagree about the ratio, and at least one publishes it reversed as 20PG / 80VG. That is not a small typo. It sends a buyer towards precisely the sort of tank the liquid does not suit. The brand's own specification, and the majority of listings, state high PG.

The real decision here is not strength, it is isolate against broad spectrum. Isolate gives you cannabidiol on its own with nothing else carried over. Broad spectrum keeps a wider set of hemp compounds while removing THC. Some vapers prefer the fuller, slightly earthier character of broad spectrum; others want the flavour to come only from the flavouring, which is what isolate gives you.

Isolate, and what is actually in the bottle

CBD isolate is hemp extract refined until only cannabidiol remains, typically to 99 per cent or higher. Everything else that came out of the plant, including THC, CBN, minor cannabinoids and terpenes, is stripped out during that refinement.

For a vape liquid that has two practical consequences. The first is that the flavour you taste is the flavouring, not the hemp, which is why a bubblegum liquid built on isolate tastes like bubblegum rather than like bubblegum and grass. The second is that there is no THC in the finished liquid to think about, which matters to anyone who would rather not have trace controlled cannabinoids in a product they use daily.

The trade off is that you do not get whatever the other hemp compounds contribute. Whether that matters is genuinely debated and we are not going to pretend otherwise. If you want the wider compound profile, the broad spectrum liquids in the comparison table above are the ones to look at.

Where this liquid sits under UK law

The rule that applies to a CBD product sold to a UK consumer is that it must contain no more than 1mg of controlled cannabinoids, meaning THC, THCV and CBN, in the container. Not per dose, not per serving, and not as a percentage. Per container.

This matters because the figure most widely quoted on CBD listings, including on the page currently ranking first for this product, is 0.2 per cent. That number is real but it is a farming rule. It caps the THC in the standing hemp crop grown under a Home Office cultivation licence, and it says nothing at all about what may lawfully be sold to you. Applied to a bottle it gives an absurd answer: 0.2 per cent of a 60ml bottle would be 120mg of THC, which is 120 times the actual consumer limit. As a CBD isolate liquid, Darwin sits well inside the real test.

Vapes are also outside the FSA Novel Foods regime, which covers ingestible CBD such as oils, capsules, gummies and drinks. You will see a maximum daily figure of 70mg quoted on some listings for this exact liquid. That figure is doubly out of date: the FSA revised its advice for healthy adults down to 10mg a day in February 2023, and that advice was always about CBD in food supplements rather than anything inhaled. Neither number is a dosage instruction for a vape.

One more piece of context. Single use vapes, CBD disposables included, have been banned in the UK since 1 June 2025 under the Environmental Protection (Single-use Vapes) Regulations 2024. A refillable device plus a bottle like this one is the compliant format, and it is a large part of why bottled CBD liquid has grown since the ban. Everything on this site is 18+ only.

Who should not buy this one

If you have never vaped CBD, skip this bottle. At roughly 50mg in every millilitre it is one of the strongest liquids we stock, and starting here tells you very little about what strength actually suits you. Start at the bottom of the range instead and work up once you know.

If you vape a sub ohm tank or a direct to lung device, this is the wrong liquid for your hardware, and no amount of enthusiasm for the flavour list changes that. Look for a high VG CBD liquid instead.

If you want the wider hemp compound profile, isolate is by definition not that, and a broad spectrum liquid is the better pick. And if you are looking for nicotine, this liquid contains none and is not sold as a way of changing your nicotine habits.
