Replacement pods for the Darwin CBD kit
This is a rechargeable device, so when the CBD runs out you replace the pod rather than the whole kit. These are the Darwin CBD refills that fit it.
The Darwin CBD 300mg Prefilled Pod Kit is the entry point to Darwin's vape range: a rechargeable 500mAh device supplied with one sealed 2ml pod holding 300mg of CBD isolate, which is the 15 per cent printed on the box. It is rated at up to 600 puffs a charge, uses a mesh coil, charges over USB-C and comes in eleven flavours. Two things worth knowing that the pages ranking above this one do not tell you: 15 per cent works out at 150mg of CBD in every millilitre, and this is the only Darwin vape line that includes proper mint and menthol options.
What 15 per cent actually means here
Darwin prints 300mg CBD per 2ml (15%) on the box, and unusually for this corner of the market, that figure checks out. Two millilitres of liquid weighs roughly two grams, so 300mg of it being cannabidiol is 15 per cent by weight. Put another way, every millilitre holds about 150mg.
That per-millilitre number is the one worth carrying around, because it is the only way to compare a pod against anything else. A 60ml bottle of CBD vape juice at 3,000mg is 50mg a millilitre. Darwin's 450mg CBG pods are about 225mg a millilitre. This pod sits between them. Nothing on the pages ranking for this kit does that translation for you.
It also lets you catch mistakes. One retailer publishes 15 per cent on the 450mg pod listing as well, where the correct figure is closer to 22 or 23 per cent. The number has clearly been copied across from this line, and it is the sort of thing nobody notices because nobody does the arithmetic.

The only Darwin vape line with mint in it
Eleven flavours, and four of them are built around a cooling agent: Cool Mint, plus the three menthol mixes. Watermelon Ice makes a fifth with a cool finish. That matters more than it sounds, because Darwin's CBG pod range has no mint or menthol at all, and its bottled juice carries some but not the same set.
If a cool draw is what you want from a CBD vape, this is the Darwin product to buy, and nothing on the competing listings mentions it. Cool Mint is the cleanest of the four, with no fruit behind it at all. The three menthol mixes run from Mixed Berries, which is the gentlest, to Dark Berries and Blackcurrants, which is the deepest and the most obviously cool.
The rest divides into sweet-shop flavours and fruit. Cola Cubes and Bubblegum are the confectionery end, Lemon Drizzle and Pink Lemonade the lightest, and Sweet Strawberry sits between the two.
| Flavour | Group | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Cool Mint | Menthol led | Straight mint, no fruit, the cleanest draw in the range |
| Dark Berries Blackcurrants & Menthol Mix | Menthol led | Blackcurrant depth under the strongest cooling here |
| Cherries Red Berries & Menthol Mix | Menthol led | Red fruit with a firm menthol edge over the top |
| Mixed Berries & Menthol Mix | Menthol led | The gentlest of the four, berry forward with a light chill |
| Watermelon Ice | Cooled fruit | Watermelon with a cool finish rather than menthol |
| Pink Lemonade | Light fruit | Citrus with a berry lift, the lightest in the range |
| Lemon Drizzle | Light fruit | Lemon cake rather than lemon sherbet, soft citrus |
| Fruit Punch | Fruit | A mixed fruit cup rather than any single fruit |
| Sweet Strawberry | Fruit | Strawberry confectionery, not fresh strawberry |
| Bubblegum | Sweet shop | Classic pink bubblegum, one of the sweeter options |
| Cola Cubes | Sweet shop | Fizzy cola sweet with a sugared coating |

Why the puff numbers across this range do not compare
Darwin rates this kit at up to 600 puffs per charge. Its 1800mg kit is rated at 2,500 puffs and the 900mg twin pack at 1,200. Those numbers get printed next to each other constantly, and they are not measuring the same thing.
A 500mAh battery does not deliver 2,500 puffs on a single charge. The 600 figure here is a battery-life rating, telling you roughly how long you get between charges. The 2,500 and 1,200 figures are liquid ratings, telling you roughly how far the pods go before they run dry. One is about the device, the other is about what is in the pods.
The practical upshot is simple. Expect to charge this device more than once before the pod is finished, and do not read 600 as the total the kit gives you. No listing we found separates the two, which is why buyers come away thinking the 1800mg kit is four times the device rather than four times the liquid.
As with every puff rating, both figures assume short draws. Long pulls take more liquid and more battery per puff, so both numbers fall together.
Restocking it
The pod supplied with the kit is not the end of the device. Darwin sells replacement pods in twin packs, and the ones we stock are the 600mg pack, which is two more 300mg pods at the same strength as the one in the box, and the 900mg CBG pack, which is two 450mg pods with CBG added.
The CBG twin pack is explicitly listed as fitting both this device and the larger 1800mg kit, so if you want to try the CBG blend you do not need a second battery to do it. It is also a step up in concentration, from 150mg a millilitre to about 225mg, so it will not feel like a like-for-like swap.
The 600mg twin pack is the like-for-like option, same strength and same 15 per cent, and it is where the menthol flavours live alongside this kit. Darwin lists it as fitting both pod systems too, so either refill pack works with this device and the choice is about what you want rather than what will fit.
Starting here rather than higher up the range
There is a reasonable argument for buying the least concentrated version of something first, and it has nothing to do with caution for its own sake.
What you learn from a first CBD vape is mostly not about cannabinoids. It is whether you like the draw of a small mouth to lung pod, whether you want mint or fruit, whether you will actually carry a device around, and whether a mesh pod suits you at all. All of that is answered by a 300mg pod exactly as well as by an 1,800mg one, and if the answer turns out to be no, you have learned it with one pod rather than four.
Going up is easy from here. The refill pods fit, the CBG pack fits, and the same battery carries you into the stronger end of the range without buying more hardware. Going down is the awkward direction, because a stronger pod cannot be diluted.
We are not going to tell you how much to take. There is no authorised intake figure for inhaled CBD and anyone quoting one is borrowing it from somewhere it does not belong.
The legal position, and what the ranking pages leave out
Neither of the two highest-ranking pages torn down for this kit states a THC figure or a legal position of any kind. That is a strange omission on a product where compliance is the first thing a new buyer wonders about, so here it is.
A CBD product sold to a UK consumer must contain no more than 1mg of controlled cannabinoids, meaning THC, THCV and CBN, in the container. It is a fixed quantity, not a percentage, and it does not scale with the size of the product. Percentage figures quoted on CBD listings come from hemp cultivation rules that cap what a licensed grower's standing crop may contain, and they govern a field rather than a shop.
The 15 per cent on this box is a different thing again. That is the CBD concentration, not a THC figure, and the two get confused constantly. CBD isolate is refined until only cannabidiol remains, so the other cannabinoids are removed during processing.
Two more points. Vapes sit outside the FSA Novel Foods regime, which covers ingestible CBD such as oils, capsules and gummies, so no Novel Foods authorisation applies and no food supplement intake figure translates to inhalation. And single-use vapes, CBD disposables included, have been banned in the UK since 1 June 2025 under the Environmental Protection (Single-use Vapes) Regulations 2024. A rechargeable device with replaceable pods is the compliant format, which is what this is. Everything on this site is 18+ only.
Who should skip this kit
If you already vape CBD regularly and know what suits you, this is the wrong end of the range. One 2ml pod at 150mg a millilitre will not last long at that rate, and the 1800mg kit exists for exactly this reason.
If you want CBG alongside your CBD, buy the CBG kit rather than this one and its refills. The blend is a different product, not an upgrade path.
If you want big vapour or a long session, a mouth to lung pod is not built for it, and a bottled liquid in a refillable tank is the better route. And if you were looking for a disposable, they have been off the UK market since June 2025 and nothing here replaces one exactly. This is a device you keep and re-pod.
Frequently asked questions
- What does 15 per cent mean on the Darwin 300mg pod?
- It is the CBD concentration by weight: 300mg of cannabidiol in a 2ml pod, which weighs roughly two grams. In the unit that lets you compare it against other products, that is about 150mg of CBD in every millilitre. It is not a THC figure, though the two get confused often.
- Is 600 puffs the total you get from the Darwin 300mg kit?
- No. The 600 figure is quoted per charge, so it is a battery rating rather than a measure of how far the pod goes. Expect to recharge the device more than once before the supplied pod runs dry, and read the larger puff numbers on Darwin's other kits as liquid figures rather than battery ones.
- Which Darwin flavours are mint or menthol?
- Four of the eleven: Cool Mint, Mixed Berries and Menthol Mix, Cherries Red Berries and Menthol Mix, and Dark Berries Blackcurrants and Menthol Mix. Watermelon Ice adds a fifth cooled option without being menthol led. This is the only Darwin vape line that carries them, since the CBG range has none.
- Does the Darwin 300mg starter kit include a charging cable?
- No. The device charges over USB-C but Darwin does not supply a cable in the box, which the listings tend to mention in passing. Any standard USB-C cable will do the job.
- Can you put CBG pods in the Darwin 300mg device?
- Yes. Darwin's 900mg CBG twin pack is listed as fitting both this device and the larger 1800mg kit. Be aware it is a step up in concentration, from about 150mg per millilitre to around 225mg, so it will not feel like swapping one pod for an identical one.
- What kind of CBD extract is in the Darwin 300mg pod?
- CBD isolate, meaning the extract is refined until only cannabidiol remains and the other hemp compounds are removed during processing. Worth stating plainly because neither the brand's own product page nor the retailer ranking fourth for this kit says so anywhere.
- Is the Darwin 300mg pod kit a replacement for a CBD disposable?
- It is the format the rules point towards, since single-use vapes including CBD disposables have been banned in the UK since 1 June 2025. It is not an exact swap though. You keep the battery, charge it, and change the pod rather than throwing the whole thing away.
- How does this kit compare with the Darwin 1800mg pod kit?
- Same battery format, very different contents. This one comes with a single 300mg isolate pod at roughly 150mg per millilitre. The 1800mg kit comes with four pods at 450mg each, adds CBG, and runs about 225mg per millilitre, but has no mint or menthol flavour anywhere in its range.
