Most CBD liquid asks you to change something. A high PG bottle wants a tighter coil, a high VG bottle wants more power, and a 50ml bottle asks you to commit before you know whether you like it. This one asks for none of that.

The base is 50VG/50PG, which is the most accommodating ratio there is. It wicks quickly into the small, tight coils used in refillable pod kits, carries flavour cleanly, and produces a modest amount of vapour rather than clouds. If you have shopped around for Orange County e-liquid you will have seen the base ratio published two different ways, sometimes for what appears to be the same bottle. Here is what the evidence actually shows, and no other page selling this liquid sets it out.

Orange County runs two e-liquid lines. This standard range is stated as 50VG/50PG by the retailers that publish a figure for it, including in their own specification blocks. The terpene infused Cali Range is consistently published as 60VG/40PG across its own listings. Two lines, two bases.

So when a 60/40 figure turns up on a listing for the standard range, the most likely explanation is Cali specification carried across by mistake rather than a genuine variation in the product. We are not going to state that as certain, because the manufacturer does not publish the ratio on its own range pages at all, which is the root of the whole problem. What we can say is that every source we found describing this 10ml standard bottle specifically gives 50/50.

The practical read: a 50/50 liquid is at its best in a pod kit or a mouth to lung tank and is the weaker choice for a high powered direct to lung device, where you want a higher VG figure. For this bottle that is fine, because a 10ml would not last long in that hardware anyway.

The concentration is identical to the 50ml version of this range and to the Cali 1500mg 50ml. Bottle size changes how long a liquid lasts, never how strong it is, and that is worth holding on to when a shelf presents you with four numbers that all look like strengths.

How it compares with the rest of our shelf

A shortfill that is not a shortfill, and what the law actually asks

One thing to clear up before the legal part, because it causes real confusion. The manufacturer's own listing for this bottle labels it a shortfill. It is not one. A shortfill is a deliberately underfilled larger bottle, left with headroom so a nicotine shot can be added. This is a full 10ml bottle with no space in it, and nothing needs adding to it.

On to the law. The test a CBD product sold to a UK consumer has to satisfy is that the container holds no more than 1mg of controlled cannabinoids in total, counting THC, THCV and CBN. Per container, whatever the container's size, and never as a percentage. It comes from the exempt product provisions under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

The pages ranking for this bottle handle that in three ways, none of them the right one. One states THC Level Undetectable alongside a percentage ceiling, which are two different claims that cannot both be doing the work. Another states nothing at all, which is notable because that retailer publishes a legality guide elsewhere on its site that gets the per-container test right, so a corrected guide plainly does not reach the product pages. A third also states nothing. Undetectable is a laboratory result and depends on the sensitivity of the instrument; the statutory limit is a number in law. Broad spectrum extract has the THC removed in processing, which is the actual mechanism keeping a bottle compliant.

Two last points. CBD vapes sit outside the FSA Novel Foods regime, which covers ingestible CBD only, so daily intake advice written for food supplements does not apply to anything inhaled.
