G-Rollz Jungle Organic Hemp King Size Papers is a complete rolling kit in one booklet: fifty king size organic hemp papers, fifty matching filter tips and a bamboo poker, in the Jungle design. The number worth pausing on is what a box holds. Fifty papers to a booklet and twenty booklets to a display box comes to a thousand papers, and our own product title currently reads Box of 20, which is not remotely the same thing. That gap, and what the poker is actually for, are the two things no page selling these explains.

One booklet, and what a box of twenty really contains

A single booklet is the unit you would actually use: fifty papers, fifty tips and one bamboo poker, all in the same cardboard wallet. That is a complete kit rather than papers with extras sold separately, which is the point of the format.

A display box holds twenty of those booklets. Multiply it through and the trade unit is a thousand papers, a thousand tips and twenty pokers.

Our own product title says Box of 20. Read naturally, that sounds like twenty papers. It means twenty booklets, so the real figure is fifty times larger. We would rather flag that plainly than let anyone order on the wrong assumption, and the title is being corrected.

Two smaller faults in the same title, both generated automatically rather than written: it contains a stranded hyphen followed by a long dash, and the phrase describing the case quantity is trade language. The underlying generator problem affects sixty-seven products in our catalogue and is set out on our two-piece grinder page rather than repeated here.

What we have not had confirmed is which unit our own listing ships as. Ask us before ordering if the quantity is what decides it, and you will get a straight answer rather than a guess.

What the bamboo poker is for

Nobody selling these explains it, so here it is. A poker is a thin stick, in this case bamboo rather than plastic or metal, and it does two jobs.

The first is packing. If you fill a cone or a loosely rolled king size, the material sits unevenly and the loose end burns badly. A poker lets you tamp it down from the open end so the density is even along the length, which is the single biggest difference between a roll that burns straight and one that runs.

The second is clearing. A roll that has been packed too tightly, or that has drawn moisture, blocks. A poker pushes through from the open end and reopens the channel without having to unroll and start again.

Bamboo rather than metal matters slightly: it flexes, so it is less likely to tear the paper from the inside than a rigid wire, and it will not scratch a filter tip. It is also the reason the whole kit can be described as vegan and plastic-light rather than just the papers.

If you exclusively roll tight and thin, you will use it rarely. If you roll king size, you will use it most times.

Organic, unbleached, chlorine free, non GMO, vegan: which of those actually tell you something

Five claims appear on this pack and they are treated as interchangeable by everyone selling it. They are not, and it is worth knowing which describe the paper in your hand and which describe the field it came from.

Unbleached and chlorine free are the substantive pair. A bleached paper has been whitened, and chlorine is the process traditionally used to do it. These are neither, which is why the sheets are a natural brownish shade rather than white. If you have ever noticed a faint chemical note on a very white paper, this is the claim that addresses it.

Vegan is more meaningful on a rolling paper than it sounds, and for one specific reason: the gum line. The strip of adhesive along the edge is the only part of a paper that could plausibly be animal derived. On these it is a natural acacia gum, which is a tree sap, and that is what makes the claim hold. It is also the only place we found that specification published at all.

Organic and non GMO describe the hemp crop rather than anything measurable in the finished sheet. That does not make them worthless, but they are agricultural claims rather than product claims and it is honest to say so.

One more specification worth having, published by a single source: these are made in Spain, by a paper maker whose lineage is described as reaching back to the 18th century. Spain and France are where most of the world's fine cigarette paper comes from, so that is consistent rather than surprising.

Three G-Rollz kits circulate under almost the same name

Worth checking before you order, because the differences are in the accessories rather than the papers.

Some G-Rollz booklets are papers and tips only. Some add a bamboo poker, which is what our listing describes. Some add a rolling tray as well as the poker. And the box counts vary between sixteen, twenty and twenty-four booklets depending on the design.

The awkward part is that one UK retailer sells this same Jungle design as papers and tips with no poker mentioned at all, while our distributor's specification for it includes one. We have asked for confirmation. If the poker is the reason you are buying, contact us first rather than assume.

Jungle itself is a design rather than a paper type. It sits within the G-Rollz Organic Green Hemp line, so the paper is the same across the designs in that line and the artwork is what changes. If you like the paper and not the print, another design in the same line will roll identically.

Every booklet carries its own QR code for authenticity checking. That is covered properly on our G-Rollz cones page rather than repeated here.

How it compares with the other papers we stock

This is the only kit on our shelf that bundles papers, tips and a poker together, which is the honest reason to choose it over buying papers alone.

It is also in stock, which the two G-Rollz grinders currently are not.

None of these contains a cannabinoid. Rolling papers are papers. Our catalogue describes this one as a CBD-isolate CBD product, which is wrong in every particular, and the generated description that produces it is being corrected.

Who this is not for

Anyone who wants a small quantity. Fifty papers is the smallest unit this product comes in, and the box above it is a thousand. If you get through a booklet a year, this is more paper than you need.

Anyone who rolls thin and tight and never uses a poker. You are paying attention to a bundled accessory you will leave in the wallet, and papers-only options in the table above will suit you better.

Anyone who wants a bright white paper. These are unbleached, so they are a natural brownish shade. That is the point of the claim rather than a flaw, but it does surprise people.

Anyone buying specifically for the poker without checking with us first. One UK retailer sells this exact design without one, our distributor's specification includes one, and we have not yet had that reconciled.

And anyone expecting a cannabinoid. There is none in a rolling paper. If you want CBD in the paper itself, we stock exactly one product that does that and it is a different item entirely.

Frequently asked questions

How many papers are in a G-Rollz Jungle booklet?
Fifty king size organic hemp papers, together with fifty matching filter tips and one bamboo poker, all in the same wallet. It is sold as a complete kit rather than as papers with the tips and poker bought separately.
Does Box of 20 mean twenty papers?
No, and this is worth getting right. It means twenty booklets, and each booklet holds fifty papers, so a box is a thousand papers rather than twenty. Our own title is misleading on this and is being corrected. Ask us what our listing ships as before ordering.
What is the bamboo poker for?
Two jobs. Packing, where you tamp the material down from the open end so it burns evenly rather than running, and clearing, where you push through a roll that has blocked. Bamboo flexes rather than being rigid like wire, so it is less likely to tear the paper from inside.
Can the filter tips be used with other rolling papers?
Yes. The tips in the booklet are plain unbleached card cut to match king size, so they roll into any paper of a similar width. Nothing about them is proprietary. If you buy this kit for the papers and prefer a different tip, the fifty in the wallet will still get used elsewhere.
What is the gum line on these papers made of?
A natural acacia gum, which is a tree sap. That matters more than it sounds, because the adhesive strip is the only part of a rolling paper that could plausibly be animal derived, so the gum is what makes the vegan claim on this pack meaningful. One source in the whole market publishes it.
Where are G-Rollz papers made?
Spain, by a paper maker described as having roots reaching back to the 18th century. Spain and France between them produce most of the world's fine cigarette paper, so that is unremarkable in the best sense. Only one source in the set publishes it.
What is the difference between the G-Rollz kits with a tray and without?
The accessories rather than the paper. Some booklets are papers and tips only, some add a bamboo poker, and some add a rolling tray as well. Box counts vary between sixteen, twenty and twenty-four booklets depending on the design, so check the configuration rather than the brand name.
Is Jungle a paper type or a design?
A design. It sits within the G-Rollz Organic Green Hemp line, so the paper itself is the same across the designs in that line and only the artwork changes. If you like how these roll but not the print, another design in the same line will behave identically.
