What you are actually buying

H4CBD is made by adding hydrogen to the CBD molecule. The result is a related but different compound that the plant does not produce in any meaningful quantity, which is what semi-synthetic means: it begins with something natural and is altered into something that is not.

It is not CBD and should not be taken as interchangeable with it however similar the names look. No H4CBD product holds authorisation under the Novel Foods regime, and nothing here should be read as suggesting this one has been assessed or approved by anybody.

They are health claims of a kind that may not lawfully be made for a food or a food supplement in the United Kingdom, where such claims require authorisation and a product like this does not hold any.
