Aztec CBD Fizzy Cherries 900mg is a 150g pouch of thirty twin-cherry gummies at 30mg of CBD each, the classic pick and mix pair of red domes on a green stalk, rolled in a sour sugar crust and flavoured with cherry. That last phrase appears on every Aztec gummy page, and on five of the six it is the wrong sweet. This is the one it was written for. The brand's own listing sits at the range's generic web address and its product code reads simply Aztec CBD Gummies, which is what a first product gets before the siblings arrive, and it is the only Aztec gummy whose description matches what is in the pouch. We stock three brands' CBD cherry sweets, so this page explains what a fizzy cherry is and sets the Aztec one against the others on numbers rather than adjectives.
The one Aztec gummy the cherry description was written for
Fizzy Cherries is the only shape in the Aztec range whose brand copy describes the sweet, because the cherry template was written for it and then pasted onto five shapes that are not cherry.
Every Aztec gummy page, on the brand's site and across its resellers, carries the sentence that the sweets are flavoured with cherry. On the Dummies page it sits next to a second line naming apple, raspberry and pineapple. On the Fizzy Bears page it describes a gummy bear. On the Fizzy Bottles page it describes a cola bottle, and the one independent reviewer of that pouch confirms it is cola. The line is a template.
Here it fits. The Fizzy Cherries page says both that the sweets are flavoured with cherry and that they are bursting with cherry flavour, and nothing on it contradicts the shape. Two further clues say why. The brand's product code for this shape is Aztec CBD Gummies followed by the shape name, and the page lives at the range's generic address rather than at a shape-specific one like the other five. That is the pattern a first product leaves behind when a range grows around it. The brand does not say which gummy came first, so we put that forward as an inference from its own website, not as a fact it has confirmed. Either way, this is the pouch where you can trust the flavour on the label.
The arithmetic is the same across the range and it reconciles: thirty pieces, 30mg each, 900mg a pouch. Three sources give the pouch weight as 150 grams, which makes each twin cherry about five grams of sweet, a substantial piece rather than a small jelly.

What a fizzy cherry is, and what it is like to eat
A fizzy cherry is the pick and mix twin cherry, two soft red domes joined by a green stalk, dusted in an acid-sugar crust that tingles for a second before the cherry comes through.
The twin cherry is one of the oldest shapes on the pick and mix counter. Two rounded red gums sit side by side, joined at the top by a short green stalk that is itself a strip of softer gum, usually with a faint apple or lime note to it. The Aztec version takes that sweet and adds a sour coating, which is the fizzy part: no gas, just sugar crystals mixed with citric and malic acid, dusted over the surface. The crust dissolves fast and sharp on the tongue, the sugar follows, and then the gum underneath takes over.
Cherry in confectionery is its own flavour rather than a copy of the fruit, and it leans toward the almond-like note that almost every cherry sweet shares. Our pages on the Cannapower cherries explain where that note comes from and why no cherry sweet tastes like a fresh cherry, and the Aztec pouch is no exception. Expect a sweet, slightly almondy cherry under a sour start, with the stalk adding a small green contrast. There is no reported hemp taste under it, which is consistent with an isolate recipe.
In the hand it is the largest of the three fizzy Aztec shapes and the only one made of two joined pieces. That has a practical consequence covered further down: it is the easiest Aztec gummy to divide, because the two domes pull apart at the stalk.
What we cannot tell you is the fine detail of this pouch's own label, because the brand publishes no ingredient list and the only one in circulation is a retailer's list for the whole range. The published recipe for the range is cannabidiol isolate, glucose syrup, sulphites, sugar, corn starch, water, citric and malic acid, an acidity regulator, flavourings and four colours. Which of those four colours lands in the red cherry shape is not published per shape, and we say so rather than guess.
CBD cherry sweets compared: Aztec, Orange County and Cannapower
Three brands on our shelf make a CBD cherry sweet, and the amount in one cherry runs from 20mg to 60mg where it is published at all, with the Aztec pouch sitting in the middle at 30mg.
This is the comparison no brand site can publish and no reseller has bothered to. Five cherry sweets, three makers, and the number that matters, the CBD in one piece, varies threefold.
Orange County makes its cherries in two of its tub sizes. In the 400mg small tub a cherry carries 20mg and there are twenty to a tub; in the 1,200mg small tub the same shape carries 60mg, three times as much in one sweet. Both are pectin set and vegan, and neither has a sour crust. Cannapower makes a cherry in 400mg and 1,200mg bags of 125g, but publishes only the bag total and no piece count, so a figure for one cherry cannot honestly be derived.
The Aztec twin cherry sits at 30mg, thirty to a pouch, with a sour crust that none of the others has. On set agent and vegan status it is the uncertain one: the brand's category page calls its range vegan, an independent reviewer reading a sibling Aztec pouch reports beef gelatine, and the one published ingredient list names no setting agent at all. The full argument is on our Dummies page, and until it is settled we do not call this sweet vegan.
The live comparison beneath the table reads today's shelf and sorts by strength and extract, so it will also show which of these is in stock.

Two domes, one stalk: the easiest Aztec gummy to split, with a caveat
A twin cherry pulls apart into two halves of roughly 15mg each, but a moulded sweet does not guarantee an even spread of CBD, so regard the halves as approximate rather than measured.
The 30mg figure is for the whole twin, both domes and the stalk. Because the sweet is already two pieces joined by a thin strip, it divides more cleanly than a bear or a bottle and without shattering the crust on both halves. If you want a smaller amount of this particular sweet, that is the way to do it.
The caveat is that gummies are made by depositing a flavoured syrup into moulds, and the CBD is dispersed through the batch rather than metered into each dome. A half is therefore about 15mg, not exactly 15mg, and the stalk holds a little of the total too. For anyone who needs a reliable 10mg, a sweet made at 10mg is the honest object, and our CBD gummies shelf has several from other brands.
The pouch itself recommends two cherries a day, 60mg, with a ceiling of 70mg. The Food Standards Agency revised its precautionary advice for healthy adults down to no more than 10mg of CBD a day from food supplements in October 2023, so the pouch's recommended amount is six times that figure and its ceiling is the number the revision replaced. We report both and issue no amount of our own; the slider does arithmetic only, and our guide to how much CBD to take explains where the FSA figure came from.
The red, the crust, and the 1mg rule
The range's published colours include E129, a red that carries a statutory warning, and like every container on this site the pouch must hold under 1mg of controlled cannabinoids in total.
A cherry sweet is red, and the only published colour list for the Aztec range includes E129, allura red, alongside E102, E133 and E132. E129 and E102 are two of the small group of colours that UK labelling rules require to be sold with a statement that they may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children. Whether the cherry shape uses E129 specifically is not published per shape, but it is the red in the list, and no page selling these prints the warning. Sulphites are also declared. The whole ingredient list is set out line by line on our Dew Drops page.
On the law, a 150g pouch is one container and gets the same flat 1mg allowance as a 10ml bottle of oil. One retailer selling this range prints its THC figure as a percentage with the sign pointing the wrong way; a percentage is the Home Office rule for the growing crop and was never the consumer test. Our catalogue records this sweet as an isolate, which has the THC removed before it reaches the gum, so a pouch under 1mg is the expected outcome. The brand's category page says broad spectrum and one retailer says full spectrum; the contradiction is tabulated on the Dummies page and only a batch certificate settles it. The full argument is in our guide to whether CBD is legal in the UK. Ingestible CBD also sits under the Novel Foods regime; nothing here claims the product is authorised. 18+ only.
Who the Fizzy Cherries suit, and who should choose another cherry
Right for someone who wants a sour-crusted cherry sweet at 30mg that divides cleanly into two; wrong for a beginner, a vegan, or anyone who wanted a plain cherry gum.
The pack size we sell is shown in the label strip beside the photo and in the basket box; it is set by how our distributor supplies the line, and each pouch inside it is the 150g, thirty-cherry pouch described here.
Within the Aztec range the Cherries are the largest fizzy piece and the only two-part one. The Fizzy Bears are the smallest and quickest, the Fizzy Bottles the chewiest. The three soft shapes carry the identical gum with no crust.
Good for
- You want a cherry sweet with a sour crust, and the flavour on the label to be the flavour in the pouch
- You want a 30mg piece that pulls apart into two roughly equal halves
- You already know 30mg suits you and want a pouch of thirty at exactly that
Not for you if
- You are new to CBD. One twin cherry is three times the FSA's daily advisory figure; Orange County's 400mg tub has a 20mg cherry
- You are vegan or vegetarian. The claim is contradicted and unconfirmed; Orange County's cherries are pectin set and published vegan
- You want a plain cherry gum with no sour coating. That is Orange County or Cannapower, not this
- You avoid E129, E102 or sulphites. All three are in the range's published list
Questions people ask
Are Aztec CBD Fizzy Cherries actually cherry flavoured?
Yes. This is the one Aztec gummy whose brand description matches the sweet: the page says flavoured with cherry and bursting with cherry flavour, and nothing on it contradicts the shape. The same cherry line appears on the Dummies, Bears and Bottles pages, where it is a template; here it is the sweet.
What is a fizzy cherry sweet?
The pick and mix twin cherry, two soft red domes joined by a short green stalk, with a sour sugar and fruit-acid crust dusted over it. The fizz is the acid dissolving on the tongue, not carbonation. The Aztec version carries 30mg of CBD across the whole twin and comes thirty to a pouch.
Which has more CBD in one cherry, Aztec or Orange County?
It depends on the Orange County tub. An Aztec twin cherry carries 30mg. An Orange County cherry from the 400mg small tub carries 20mg, and the same shape from the 1,200mg small tub carries 60mg. So Aztec sits between the two, with a sour crust that neither Orange County cherry has.
Is Fizzy Cherries the original Aztec CBD gummy?
Probably, on the brand's own evidence, though it has not said so. Its Fizzy Cherries page lives at the range's generic address rather than a shape-specific one, its product code reads Aztec CBD Gummies followed by the shape, and the cherry description that fits this sweet has been pasted onto the other five. That is the pattern a first product leaves behind.
Does each half of a twin cherry contain 15mg?
Roughly, not exactly. The 30mg is for the whole twin including the stalk, and the two domes pull apart cleanly, which makes this the easiest Aztec shape to divide. But CBD is dispersed through the batch rather than metered into each dome, so a half is about 15mg rather than a measured 15mg.
Do Aztec Fizzy Cherries contain a red colour that needs a warning?
The range's only published colour list includes E129, allura red, which is one of the colours UK labels must sell with a statement about children's activity and attention. Whether the cherry shape uses E129 specifically is not published per shape, but it is the red in the list, and no seller of these prints the warning.
Is a 150g pouch of Aztec Fizzy Cherries within the UK THC limit?
It has to be, to be sold lawfully, and the limit is 1mg of controlled cannabinoids for the whole pouch regardless of its weight. Our record has the sweet as a THC-free isolate, which is the recipe most easily kept inside that, but only a batch certificate proves it, and the brand's extract type is stated three different ways by three sellers.
How do Aztec Fizzy Cherries compare with Cannapower cherries?
Aztec publishes a per-piece figure, 30mg, and a count, thirty; Cannapower publishes a bag total, 400mg or 1,200mg across 125g, and no count, so the amount in one Cannapower cherry cannot be stated. Aztec's has a sour crust and Cannapower's does not. If you want to know what one sweet carries, Aztec's pouch tells you and Cannapower's bag does not.
