The Aztec 55% CBD Cartridges 2 Pack is a twin pack of prefilled 510 thread vape cartridges, each holding 1ml of full spectrum CBD distillate at 55 per cent, which Aztec states as roughly 550mg of naturally occurring CBD per cartridge alongside CBG at 2 per cent and CBC at 0.5 per cent. There is no battery in the pack. There are ten strain-named profiles, the cartridges are fully ceramic, and the distillate is CO2 extracted with no cutting agents. One thing to settle before anything else: these are universal 510, and Aztec's own pod system is not, so the two halves of this brand's vape range do not fit each other.

Full spectrum, and what we can and cannot tell you about the THC

This is a full spectrum extract, which is the grade that deliberately keeps the wider range of compounds the hemp plant produced rather than stripping them out. That is why the ingredient list names CBG and CBC alongside the CBD. It is also why THC is part of the conversation, because full spectrum is the only grade that retains it on purpose.

Here is what we are not going to do. Aztec publishes a THC figure for this line as a percentage. Two of the shops ranking for this product republish that figure as a considerably looser percentage than the brand's own, and one of them presents its version as the reason the product is legally compliant. We are not going to repeat any of those numbers as reassurance, and we are not going to convert a percentage into milligrams for you, because a percentage is not what the law measures and a converted figure would only look authoritative.

The rule that actually applies is that a CBD product sold to a UK consumer must contain no more than 1mg of controlled cannabinoids, meaning THC, THCV and CBN, in the container. An absolute quantity, per container, regardless of the container's size or the concentration inside it. Percentage figures on CBD listings come from Home Office hemp cultivation rules that cap what a licensed grower's standing crop may contain in a field. They govern farming. They are not a retail test, and a page that says a product is legal because of one has told you nothing.

So the honest position: we are obtaining the per-batch certificate of analysis from our distributors for every full spectrum line we list, and until we hold one for a given batch we will not publish a per-container figure for it. If that matters to your purchase, and on a full spectrum product it reasonably might, ask us before you order rather than after. No competing page on this product makes that disclosure, which is precisely why it is worth making.

What is in the cartridge

Aztec's specification is unusually detailed for this corner of the market, so it is worth setting out properly rather than leaving it in a bullet list nobody reads.

The distillate is CO2 extracted, which is the slower method, and Aztec states it contains no additives or cutting agents. The cannabinoid profile is 55 per cent CBD, which works out at roughly 550mg in a 1ml cartridge, with CBG at 2 per cent and CBC at 0.5 per cent named separately. The rest is terpenes carried through from the strain.

The hardware is a fully ceramic CCELL cartridge. That matters more than it sounds on a distillate this thick. Ceramic heats the concentrate directly rather than relying on a wick, and an all-ceramic body means nothing plastic sits against the liquid, which is the usual culprit when a cartridge tastes faintly synthetic.

The Aztec compatibility trap nobody mentions

Aztec sells two entirely separate vape formats and they have nothing in common mechanically. These cartridges are universal 510 thread, which is the most widespread vape connection there is and will screw onto thousands of batteries. Aztec's Premium CBD Pod System uses a proprietary magnetic pod and is explicitly not 510 compatible.

That means a customer who owns the Aztec pod kit cannot use these, and a customer who buys these cannot put them in the Aztec pod device. Same brand, same shelf, two closed worlds. Not one page ranking for either product says so.

The practical upside of 510 is real, though. Because the thread is universal, you are not locked into anything: any 510 battery will run these, and we stock replacement 510 battery pens for exactly this reason. If you already own a 510 battery from any brand, you already own everything you need.

All ten strain profiles

The flavour coverage across the pages selling this product is incoherent. One lists five, one lists four and shows all of them as unavailable, and one lists ten. There are ten.

As with any terpene-led cartridge, the names describe the strain the profile is modelled on rather than the plant in the cartridge. Since these are full spectrum, more of the original plant character carries through than it would in an isolate liquid, so the earthier profiles taste genuinely earthy rather than like a sweet approximation of one.

The range splits into three groups. The Kush and classic names are earthy and heavy. The haze and citrus names are bright. The dessert and fruit names are the sweetest and the easiest starting point if strain flavours are new to you.

How it compares with the other 510 and cartridge options we stock

Cartridges are a different proposition from pods. A pod ties you to one brand's battery; a 510 cartridge works with almost anything, which makes the comparison below about what is inside rather than about what will fit.

Aztec's own 55 per cent vaping kit uses the same distillate and adds a device, so it is the natural pairing if you own no battery at all. Iguana Smoke's cartridge is the other full spectrum option in our range and holds twice the volume at a lower concentration. Euphoria's cartridge is a different thing entirely and carries an important caveat, set out in the table.

Using a 510 cartridge without ruining it

Thick distillate behaves differently from e-liquid and most first-time cartridge problems come from treating the two the same.

Take short draws and give the ceramic a moment between them. A long hard pull on a cold cartridge pulls more air than vapour and can leave the concentrate scorched at the contact point, which is what people mean when they say a cartridge tastes burnt from new.

Watch the wattage if your battery has settings. Cartridges are built for low power, and a battery set for sub ohm work will cook this rather than vaporise it. If your 510 pen has a preheat mode, that is the setting these were designed around.

Store them upright and out of the heat. Distillate thickens in the cold, which makes the first draw of a winter morning harder work, and it thins in a warm pocket, which is when a cartridge can weep at the mouthpiece. Neither is a fault.

Who should not buy these

If you own the Aztec pod system, these will not fit it. Buy Aztec's own refill pods instead, and read the compatibility section above before you order anything else from this brand.

If you specifically want a product with no THC in it at all, full spectrum is by definition not that. An isolate or broad spectrum option is the right choice, and we stock plenty. This applies particularly if you are subject to workplace testing, where the sensible course is to avoid full spectrum entirely rather than to reason about quantities.

If you are new to CBD, a 55 per cent distillate cartridge is a steep first purchase and the strain flavours are an acquired taste. A lower concentration pod kit will tell you more about what suits you. And if you have no 510 battery, remember there is none in this pack.

Frequently asked questions

What battery do Aztec 55% CBD cartridges need?
Any universal 510 thread battery. The pack contains no battery, so you need one separately, and because 510 is the most common vape connection there is you are not tied to a particular brand. A low power setting or a preheat mode suits thick distillate best.
Will Aztec cartridges fit the Aztec CBD pod system?
No, and this catches people out because both are Aztec. The cartridges are universal 510 thread while the pod system uses a proprietary magnetic pod that is explicitly not 510 compatible. Owning one Aztec vape does not mean the other brand's format will work with it.
What does 55 per cent full spectrum actually mean?
That 55 per cent of the distillate by weight is CBD, which Aztec states as roughly 550mg in each 1ml cartridge. Full spectrum means the extract keeps the wider set of compounds from the plant rather than being refined down, which is why CBG at 2 per cent and CBC at 0.5 per cent are named separately in the ingredients.
Why does GoCBD not publish a THC figure for this cartridge?
Because we do not yet hold the per-batch certificate of analysis, and a full spectrum product is the one grade where that document actually decides the answer. We are obtaining COAs from our distributors for every full spectrum line we list. Until we hold one for a batch we will not publish a figure for it, and we would rather say so than round something up.
Is a percentage of THC the UK legal limit?
No. The percentage figures that circulate on CBD listings come from hemp cultivation rules capping what a licensed grower's standing crop may contain. The rule for a product sold to a consumer is an absolute quantity of controlled cannabinoids in the container, which does not scale with size or concentration.
Do Aztec CBD cartridges contain CBG and CBC?
Yes, both are named in the ingredient list, at 2 per cent and 0.5 per cent respectively, alongside the CBD. Neither is a controlled cannabinoid in the UK. They are present because full spectrum extraction retains them rather than because they were added afterwards.
Why does a CBD cartridge sometimes taste burnt on the first draw?
Usually because the draw was too long or too hard on a cold cartridge. Thick distillate needs the ceramic to come up to temperature, so short pulls with a pause between them work far better than one long inhale. High wattage on an adjustable battery causes the same problem.
How many flavours do Aztec 55% cartridges come in?
Ten, though you would not know it from the shops selling them, where the count runs anywhere from four to ten. They are OG Kush, White Widow, Gorilla Glue, Blueberry Kush, Mango Kush, Super Lemon Haze, Pineapple Express, Ice Mint, Gelato and Zkittlez.
