What is in the cartridge, as advertised

Start with the specification everyone publishes, because it is worth having in one place before we complicate it.

It is a 2ml cartridge with a 510 thread, which is the near-universal screw fitting used by most vape batteries, so it will attach to almost any pen you already own. The brand also sells the same formulation in a 1ml version. The fill is stated as CBD extract with natural terpenes and no VG, PG, PEG or MCT, which is unusual and genuinely worth noting: most CBD e-liquids are cut with a carrier, and this line is sold as uncut.

The flavour is carried by terpenes named after cannabis strains rather than by a sweet flavouring, so an Amnesia cartridge tastes herbal and citrus rather than like a fruit e-liquid. If you have only vaped nicotine e-liquid before, that is the biggest adjustment.

One point of language. The brand's own copy, repeated word for word by at least one retailer, has a heading asking what a disposable CBD cartridge is. That wording is careless in a UK market where single-use vapes have been banned since 1 June 2025. This is not a single-use vape. It is a consumable cartridge that screws onto a rechargeable battery you keep, which is exactly the format that remains compliant. The cartridge is thrown away when empty; the device is not.

We read the lab report. Here is what it actually says

Iguana Smoke publishes three lab documents. One of them covers this line, titled for the full spectrum carts and the I-Puff at seventy per cent CBD. Two of the retailers ranking for this product mention lab testing and one links the document. Neither quotes a single figure out of it. So we downloaded it and read it.

It is a GC-FID and GC-MS analysis by Spectral Fingerprints, sample received on 29 April 2025 and approved on 5 May 2025. The quantification limit is 0.02 per cent and anything below 0.01 per cent is reported as not detected. The full cannabinoid table is below.

Three things in that document deserve to be said out loud, because nobody selling this cartridge has said any of them.

First, the batch number field on the report reads NA. There is no batch identifier and no link to a specific production run, which makes it a line-level document rather than a certificate for the cartridge that would arrive in your order. That distinction matters more than it sounds, because cannabinoid content is a property of a batch, not of a product name.

Second, delta-9 THC and delta-8 THC are both reported as not detected, which supports the no-THC claim at the limits of the method. But CBN is detected, at 0.23 per cent. CBN is not an afterthought in UK law: it is one of the controlled cannabinoids counted alongside THC in the test that governs what may be sold. Not one page selling this product mentions CBN at all.

Third, the report assays CBD at 39.79 per cent, where the product is advertised at seventy. The detected cannabinoids together come to roughly 83.6 per cent, which does not reconcile with seventy either, and the document does not state whether it is analysing the raw extract or the finished cartridge. We have asked our distributor to resolve it and we will publish the answer here.

None of that is an accusation. It is a description of the only document in the public domain, and it is the reason we are not going to repeat a compliance claim we cannot stand behind.

Full spectrum and zero THC cannot both be true

Every page in this ranking set, the manufacturer included, puts full spectrum and zero per cent THC in the same specification block, and the two labels contradict each other.

Full spectrum means the extract keeps the plant's whole cannabinoid and terpene profile, deliberately including the trace THC that comes with it. That retention is the entire definition. An extract that has genuinely had its THC removed is called broad spectrum, and the distinction exists precisely so that buyers can tell the two apart.

So a product cannot be full spectrum and contain no THC at the same time. One of the two labels is wrong, and which one it is has practical consequences for anyone who might face a workplace drug test.

Reading the lab report suggests the honest description sits somewhere between the two. THC is not detected, which is what you would expect of a broad spectrum extract. But the report shows a wide spread of other cannabinoids and CBG almost as high as CBD, which is not what an isolate or a simple broad spectrum distillate looks like either. Our own catalogue records this product as full spectrum, which is why this page carries the caution it does.

Until the per-batch document is in hand we are describing it as the brand does, flagging the inconsistency, and letting you make your own call. Our fuller explanation of the three extract types is linked at the foot of the page.

What the UK rule actually measures

This is where the whole category goes wrong, and one of the best-written competitor pages in it gets it wrong too.

The figure repeated across UK CBD retail, that a product is compliant if it holds under a fifth of a per cent THC, is not the consumer test and never has been. That percentage comes from Home Office rules on cultivating hemp and describes a growing crop in a field, not a finished item on a shelf.

The test that governs what may be sold to you is a limit of one milligram of controlled cannabinoids per container. Per container, not per dose, not per millilitre, and not as a percentage. Container size is irrelevant to the limit, which is exactly why a percentage figure cannot substitute for it.

And the controlled list is not THC alone. It includes THCV and CBN. That is the reason the CBN figure on this report matters and the reason a lab document showing THC as not detected does not by itself close the question. A responsible answer needs the total controlled cannabinoid content of the actual container, and that needs the batch.

One thing we can settle cleanly: CBD vapes sit outside the FSA Novel Foods regime, which governs ingestible CBD such as oils, gummies and capsules. So no Novel Foods listing applies here or should be expected, and any page implying otherwise about a vape is confusing two different rulebooks.

The seven flavours we stock

The flavours are terpene profiles named after cannabis strains, not confectionery flavourings, and they divide into two clear groups.

Four are strain-led and taste herbal, earthy or citrus in a way that is closer to the plant than to an e-liquid. Three are fruit-forward and much more familiar if you are coming from ordinary vaping. If you have never vaped a terpene cartridge before, start with one of the fruit options and work across, because the strain profiles are an acquired taste and a 2ml cartridge is a long commitment to a flavour you do not like.

It needs a battery, and which one changes the experience

A 510 cartridge is only half a vape. It has no battery and no button, so it does nothing until it is screwed onto a compatible pen.

Voltage should be kept low, because uncut cannabinoid extract is thick and scorches easily, and a burnt cartridge cannot be recovered. And draw length should be short, four seconds or so rather than the long pulls a nicotine device encourages.

Store it upright. A cartridge left on its side for days will let the extract creep into the airway and the first draw afterwards is unpleasant. In cold weather the fill thickens noticeably, and warming the cartridge in a pocket for a few minutes solves what looks like a blocked airway nine times out of ten.

How it sits against the rest of the Iguana Smoke range

Iguana Smoke runs two formats and they are not interchangeable, which the brand's own site does little to make clear.

The 510 cartridge on this page is the open format: it works with any standard battery, including one you already own. The I-Puff is a closed pod system, so its pods only fit its own device. The pods carry the same terpene flavours at a lower stated strength in a smaller fill.

Who should not buy this one

If you face workplace or roadside drug testing, do not buy a full spectrum product of any kind, and that includes this one. The published report shows THC as not detected, but it carries no batch number, and a screening test does not care what the marketing says. Choose a broad spectrum or isolate CBD vape instead, and read our guide on testing before you decide.
