Replacement pods for the Aztec CBD kit
This is a rechargeable device, so when the CBD runs out you replace the pod rather than the whole kit. These are the Aztec CBD refills that fit it.
The Aztec 55% CBD Vaping Kit is a complete 510 starter kit rather than a refill: one prefilled 1ml cartridge of 55 per cent full spectrum CBD distillate, a 350mAh CCELL battery and a charger, in a choice of nine strain profiles. Aztec states roughly 550mg of naturally occurring CBD in the cartridge, alongside CBG at 2 per cent and CBC at 0.5 per cent. You will see this kit sold as 1000mg almost everywhere, including by shops that then print 550mg further down the same page, and the first section explains where that number came from.
What is actually in the box
Three things: a cartridge, a battery and a charger. That is the whole point of a kit rather than a cartridge twin pack, and it is why this is the Aztec purchase to make if you do not already own a 510 battery.
The battery is a 350mAh CCELL unit rated for coils between 0.9 and 3.0 ohm, which covers essentially every 510 cartridge on the market. It is inhale activated, so there is no fire button to hold and no wattage to set. Aztec describes it as running a self-adapted temperature, meaning the device picks its own power level rather than handing you a dial to get wrong.
The cartridge is fully ceramic with a glass housing and a screwed-in mouthpiece, which is a more considered build than the pressed plastic cartridges that tend to weep at the seam. The terpenes are botanical and Aztec names them individually rather than hiding behind natural flavourings: caryophyllene, limonene, myrcene and linalool.

Why this is sold as 1000mg when the cartridge holds about 550mg
Look up this kit anywhere and the title says 1000mg. Read down the same listings and they say 550mg approx. Both numbers are on the same page, at the same shop, describing the same box.
Here is where the thousand comes from. Aztec sells the same distillate as a cartridge twin pack, and two cartridges at roughly 550mg each come to about 1,100mg, which gets rounded down to a tidy 1000mg on the label. That figure has then been carried across to the kit, which contains one cartridge.
It matters because headline milligrams are how people compare vape products, and comparing this kit against another brand's kit on 1000mg means comparing against a number that is not in the box. If you want the roughly 1,100mg, that is the twin pack, and it comes with no battery.
We list the cartridge figure Aztec states rather than the marketing one. The nearest honest summary is one 1ml cartridge at 55 per cent, which Aztec puts at about 550mg of CBD.
Two seconds, which is the instruction nobody repeats
Aztec's own product page carries a usage instruction that not one retailer selling this kit reproduces: do not inhale for more than two seconds at a time.
That single line explains most of what goes wrong with 510 cartridges. Thick distillate needs the ceramic to reach temperature and then needs a moment to rewet the element. A long pull outruns that, scorches what is against the coil and produces the burnt taste people blame on a faulty cartridge. Short draws with a pause between them are not a comfort measure, they are how the hardware was designed to work.
The inhale-activated battery makes this easier than it sounds, because there is no button to keep held down. If a draw starts tasting sharp or dry, stop, wait a few seconds and go again rather than pushing through it.
Cold is the other factor. Distillate thickens below room temperature, so a cartridge left in a cold car will be hard work on the first pull and easier once the device has warmed in your hand.
The nine profiles in this kit, and the one you cannot have
Our kit range runs nine strain profiles. Aztec also produces an OG Kush kit which we do not carry, though OG Kush is available in the cartridge twin pack, so if that is the profile you want the route to it is a twin pack plus any 510 battery.
Full spectrum carries more of the original plant character through than an isolate liquid does, so these taste noticeably more like hemp than a flavoured pod would. The earthy profiles in particular are not a sweetened impression of a strain, they read as genuinely earthy, and that is either the appeal or the problem depending on the person.
The nine below run from the heaviest and most herbal to the sweetest and most approachable.
| Profile | Character | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| White Widow | Classic and dry | Peppery and earthy, the most traditionally hemp-tasting of the nine |
| Gorilla Glue | Classic and dry | Pine and diesel over earth, the most divisive here |
| Blueberry Kush | Fruit over earth | Dark blueberry sitting on a heavy Kush base |
| Mango Kush | Fruit over earth | Ripe tropical mango against the same earthy backdrop |
| Super Lemon Haze | Bright citrus | Zesty lemon, the sharpest and most awake profile |
| Pineapple Express | Bright citrus | Sweet pineapple with a light herbal lift behind it |
| Ice Mint | Cool | Straight mint with a cooling finish, the only cooled option |
| Gelato | Dessert | Creamy and sweet, the softest thing in the range |
| Zkittlez | Sweet fruit | Mixed fruit confectionery, the most approachable of the nine |
Kit or cartridges, and which Aztec purchase you want
There are three Aztec vape products in our range and buying the wrong one is easy, because two of them look like the same thing and the third is incompatible with both.
If you own no 510 battery, buy this kit. If you already own one, from any brand, buy the cartridge twin pack instead rather than acquiring a second battery you do not need. And if you own the Aztec Premium pod system, neither of the 510 products will fit it, because that device uses a proprietary magnetic pod and is explicitly not 510.
Once you own this kit's battery, you are in the open 510 ecosystem rather than locked to Aztec. Any 510 cartridge will run on it, including the Iguana Smoke cartridge we stock, and any 510 battery will run Aztec's cartridges.
| Product | Includes a device | Cartridge or pod | Profiles | Buy it if |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Aztec 55% CBD Vaping Kit | Yes, 350mAh CCELL and charger | One 1ml 510 cartridge | 9 | You own no 510 battery |
| Aztec 55% CBD Cartridges (Twin Pack) | No | Two 1ml 510 cartridges | 10 | You already own a 510 battery |
| Aztec CBD Premium Pod System 2000mg 2ml | Yes, 350mAh with a magnetic pod | Proprietary pod, not 510 | 15 | You want broad spectrum rather than full spectrum |
| Iguana Smoke CBD Vape Cartridge 2ml 1400mg | No | One 2ml 510 cartridge | 7 | You want a larger cartridge at a lower concentration |
| Iguana Smoke 510 Cartridge Battery Pens | Battery only, no CBD | Not applicable | Not applicable | You need a spare or replacement 510 battery |
Full spectrum, the disposable ban, and the figure we will not give you
This is a full spectrum extract, the grade that deliberately keeps the wider set of plant compounds rather than refining them out. That is why CBG and CBC are named in the ingredients, and it is also why THC is part of the discussion at all.
Our position on the numbers is the same across every full spectrum line we list. Aztec publishes a THC figure as a percentage. At least one shop ranking for this kit republishes a percentage several times looser than the brand's own. We are not repeating either as reassurance, and we are not converting a percentage into milligrams, because a percentage is not what UK law measures and a converted figure would only look more authoritative than it is.
The rule is 1mg of controlled cannabinoids, meaning THC, THCV and CBN, in the container. An absolute quantity, per container, regardless of size or concentration. Percentages come from Home Office hemp cultivation rules governing a grower's standing crop in a field. We are obtaining per-batch certificates of analysis for every full spectrum product we list, and until we hold one for a batch we will not publish a per-container figure for it. Ask us if it matters to your purchase.
One more thing worth clearing up, because the brand's own copy uses a word that now carries baggage. Aztec describes the cartridge as a disposable design, meaning you replace the cartridge rather than refilling it. That is not the same as a single-use vape. The ban that took effect on 1 June 2025 covers devices thrown away whole; this kit has a rechargeable battery you keep and a cartridge you swap, which is the format the regulations point buyers towards. Vapes also sit outside the FSA Novel Foods regime, so no Novel Foods authorisation applies here. Everything on this site is 18+ only.
Who should skip this kit
If you already own a 510 battery, you are buying hardware twice. The cartridge twin pack gives you two cartridges and no device, and it is the better purchase in that situation.
If you want no THC in your product at all, full spectrum is the wrong grade by definition. An isolate or broad spectrum option is the right choice, and that goes double if you are subject to workplace testing, where avoiding full spectrum entirely beats reasoning about quantities.
If strain flavours are new to you, start with Gelato or Zkittlez rather than White Widow or Gorilla Glue. The earthy end of this range is a real acquired taste and there is no gentle version of it. And if you are new to CBD altogether, a 55 per cent distillate is a steep opening move; a low strength pod kit will teach you more about what suits you.
Frequently asked questions
- What comes with the Aztec 55% CBD Vaping Kit?
- One prefilled 1ml cartridge, a 350mAh rechargeable CCELL battery and a charger. It is a complete starter kit, so nothing else is needed to use it. That is the difference between this and Aztec's cartridge twin pack, which contains no hardware at all.
- Why is the Aztec kit labelled 1000mg when the cartridge is 550mg?
- The thousand is carried over from Aztec's twin-pack cartridges, where two cartridges at about 550mg each come to roughly 1,100mg and get rounded. This kit holds one cartridge. The figure Aztec states for what is actually in the box is about 550mg of naturally occurring CBD.
- How long should you inhale on an Aztec CBD cartridge?
- Aztec's own instruction is no more than two seconds at a time, which no retailer selling the kit repeats. Thick distillate needs the ceramic element to reach temperature and then rewet, and a longer pull outruns that, which is what produces the burnt taste people blame on a faulty cartridge.
- Does the Aztec vaping kit have a fire button?
- No. The 350mAh CCELL battery is inhale activated, so you simply draw on it, and it runs a self-adapted temperature rather than giving you a wattage to set. That removes the most common way of ruining a cartridge, which is running it too hot.
- Is the Aztec CBD vaping kit banned under the single-use vape rules?
- No. Aztec calls the cartridge a disposable design because you replace it rather than refilling it, but the ban that took effect on 1 June 2025 covers devices thrown away whole. This kit has a rechargeable battery you keep and a swappable cartridge, which is the compliant format.
- Which terpenes are in Aztec's 55% distillate?
- Aztec names four botanical terpenes: caryophyllene, limonene, myrcene and linalool. That is more transparency than most CBD cartridges provide, since the usual disclosure stops at natural flavourings. They are what give each strain profile its distinct smell and taste.
- Can I use other brands' cartridges with the Aztec kit battery?
- Yes. The battery is a standard 510 thread rated for 0.9 to 3.0 ohm, which covers essentially every CBD cartridge sold. Once you own it you are in the open 510 ecosystem rather than tied to Aztec, which is a genuine advantage over any pod system.
- Why is OG Kush missing from the Aztec kit range?
- Aztec does make an OG Kush kit, but it is not in the range we carry, so our kit line runs nine profiles rather than ten. OG Kush is available in the cartridge twin pack, so the route to it is a twin pack plus any 510 battery.
