The 1000mg is not 1000mg of CBD

This is the thing to get straight before anything else. Two retailer listings for this product name it as 500mg CBD plus 500mg CBG, and a third refers to 500mg in its description. The headline figure adds two cannabinoids together.

We should be careful about how firmly we say that, so here it is honestly: the split comes from retailer listings rather than from a specification Hurb publishes itself, and most pages selling this kit give only the combined number. It is the best available reading of the evidence, and it is considerably more than any competing page tells you.

The practical effect is on comparison. Set against a pod carrying 1,000mg of CBD alone, this one has half as much cannabidiol in it and the same total of cannabinoids. Whether that is what you want depends entirely on whether you want CBG in the mix, which is the next question and one no page ranking for this product answers.

What CBG actually is

Cannabigerol, shortened to CBG, is a cannabinoid found in hemp alongside cannabidiol. It is not THC, it is not intoxicating, and it is not a synthetic or semi-synthetic compound. On a product whose entire selling point is that it contains CBG, not one page ranking for it defines the term.

The reason CBG turns up less often than CBD is agricultural rather than legal. In a mature hemp plant most of the cannabigerolic acid has already converted into other cannabinoids, so what remains is a small fraction of the plant compared with CBD. That makes CBG harder to produce in quantity, which is why a pod splitting its content evenly between the two is unusual.

We are not going to tell you what CBG will do for you, because that is not something a shop is permitted or qualified to say. What we can tell you is what it is, how much of it appears to be in here, and that it does not change the legal position of the product, which is covered further down.

A 10ml pod is a completely different design

Ten millilitres in a single pod is enormous by CBD standards, and it explains the whole shape of this product. Most CBD pods hold one or two millilitres. This one holds ten, and it is rated for around 3,000 puffs as a result.

The trade is concentration. A thousand milligrams spread across ten millilitres is about 100mg of combined cannabinoids per millilitre, of which roughly half is CBD. Compare that with a CBD distillate pod at 750mg in a single millilitre and the difference is stark: the distillate pod is around seven and a half times more concentrated per millilitre while holding a quarter of the total.

Neither approach is better in the abstract. A big, mild pod means a long refilling cycle, a gentler draw and less bother. A small, concentrated pod means far more per puff and a pod you can carry as a spare. What matters is knowing which one you are buying, and the two are easy to confuse when the headline milligram figures look comparable.

The coil is a 1.0 ohm fixed mesh running at around 16 watts. A 1.0 ohm mesh coil at that power is squarely a mouth to lung setup: a tighter, cigarette style draw rather than a lung filling one, with mesh giving more even heating and better flavour consistency than an older wire coil. Fixed means the coil is part of the pod, so replacing the pod replaces the coil, which is one less consumable to think about.

It is draw activated with adjustable airflow, so there is no fire button and you can tighten or open the draw to taste. The listing also cites five built in protections covering overcharging, over-inhaling, short circuit, open circuit and low battery. On the liquid itself, retailer specification gives an 80/20 PG to VG blend, which is a high propylene glycol mix: thin, fast wicking, sharper on the throat and deliberately low on vapour. That fits the 1.0 ohm mouth to lung coil exactly, and it means any listing promising heavy clouds from this kit has it backwards.

Six flavours, and what you can get today

The range runs to six, a smaller set than most CBD pod lines and split between fruit, menthol and one strain flavour. No page in the ranking set publishes a flavour list at all except the one substantive competitor, and none publishes availability.

Use a vape or small electricals recycling point, a household waste recycling centre, or a retailer take-back scheme, since retailers carry a legal duty to accept very small electrical waste.

The device itself is the same when it eventually reaches the end of its life, with the added point that it contains a lithium battery. Batteries in general waste are how bin lorry fires start, so the recycling point is the answer there too rather than the bin.

Where a CBD and CBG pod sits under UK law

The consumer test is that a container holds no more than 1mg of controlled cannabinoids in total, counting THC, THCV and CBN. Per container, not as a percentage, from the exempt product provisions under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Here is the point specific to this product, and it is reassuring rather than complicated. CBG is not on that list. Adding 500mg of cannabigerol to a pod does not move it any closer to the limit, because the limit counts three named controlled cannabinoids and CBG is not one of them. A CBD and CBG product is assessed on exactly the same basis as a CBD only one.

The one page in this ranking set that says anything about legality puts it in an About Us block, stating that its products come with certificates of analysis and are compliant with UK regulations, and states no actual test. A certificate is evidence. The test is the number in law, and the two are worth keeping apart.

Finally, CBD vapes sit outside the FSA Novel Foods regime, which applies to ingestible CBD such as oils, gummies and drinks, so intake advice written for food supplements does not reach an inhaled product. Who should skip this one

If you specifically want the most CBD you can get, this is the wrong pod. Roughly half the advertised milligrams are CBG, and a CBD only pod at the same headline figure gives you twice the cannabidiol.
