The same brand cannot decide what its own oils are

Look across Euphoria's oil range and you find two different stories being told about what these products are for.

Its ten thousand milligram oil, both of its H4CBD oils and even its oil for cats all carry the wording that they are for aromatherapy. This bottle does not. This one comes with a cannabinoid content analysis, a terpene content analysis and a recommended daily intake.

That difference is not decorative. Ingestible CBD in Britain sits inside the Novel Foods regime, and no CBD extract or isolate currently holds authorisation as a novel food. A product presented as an aromatherapy item rather than as a food is not making a food claim at all, which is a well-worn way of standing outside that regime. A product that publishes a recommended daily intake is doing the opposite.

There is a second door, and it has narrowed. In April 2025 the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency confirmed that a CBD product making a medicinal claim falls within the definition of a medicinal product under the Human Medicines Regulations 2012. So a bottle named after a health outcome is exposed from that direction whatever the label calls the contents.

We are not going to pretend to resolve that. What we can do is tell you exactly what is published and what is not, which is more than any UK page currently manages, because no UK retailer ranks for this product at all.

The recommended intake is several times what the FSA advises

One of the wholesalers selling this oil publishes a dosing instruction: two lots of five drops a day, with a stated maximum of fifteen drops.

The same page gives roughly twenty milligrams of CBD per five-drop dose, and our own supplier independently gives four milligrams a drop across up to two hundred and fifty drops in the bottle. Those figures agree with each other and with the thousand milligram total.

So the published recommendation works out at around forty milligrams of CBD a day, with a stated ceiling around sixty.

The Food Standards Agency advises healthy adults to take no more than ten milligrams of CBD a day from food supplements, a figure it revised down in October 2023. The recommendation printed on this product is roughly four times that. The stated maximum is roughly six times.

Nothing on this page is dosage guidance and we are not going to issue any. We are pointing out that two numbers exist, that they are a long way apart, and that only one of them comes from the food safety regulator. Not one page selling this oil puts them side by side.

Full spectrum, three THC figures, and none of them the UK test

Full spectrum is the grade that deliberately keeps the rest of the plant in the bottle, including THC. That is the point of it and it is also the compliance problem.

Three positions exist for this product. The brand publishes an upper bound of two tenths of one per cent, alongside a figure for minor cannabinoids. A European wholesaler publishes a delta-9 THC figure of four hundredths of one per cent, five times tighter. Our own supplier publishes nothing for this line at all.

Every one of those is a percentage, and a percentage is not the test that applies here. The British consumer test is one milligram of controlled cannabinoids per container. Per container, whatever the container holds.

Run the sellers' own numbers against a ten millilitre bottle and the problem is obvious. The brand's upper bound implies something in the region of twenty milligrams. The wholesaler's tighter figure implies something in the region of four. Both sit above one milligram, and by some distance.

That arithmetic is on their published percentages, not a statement about what is actually in any particular batch. The only document that settles the question is a per-batch certificate of analysis, and we have not seen one for this oil. So we are not going to tell you this bottle meets the per-container test, and any page that does tell you, without publishing a batch report, is guessing.

We have requested the certificate. Until it arrives, this listing carries the caveat rather than a reassurance, and that applies to every full spectrum product on this site.

The name is a claim, and it is not ours

Euphoria names this entire terpene range after outcomes. Antistress is one of four, and the others are named for sleep, for headaches and for burnout. The brand's own copy describes the terpene selection as chosen for therapeutic properties.

We have used the product's actual name on this page because that is what it is called and because you would not find it otherwise. That is where our involvement with the name ends.

A seller in Britain may not attach health outcomes to a food supplement, and we are not attaching one. We are not repeating the brand's language about what the terpenes do, we are not telling you what this oil will make you feel, and we would rather lose the order than write a sentence we would have to defend.

What we can tell you factually is which terpenes are in it and in what proportion, because that is chemistry rather than a claim, and it is published on exactly one page anywhere.

What is in the bottle, and what using it is like

The ingredient list is short: hemp extract containing ten per cent CBD, and medium-chain triglycerides from vegetable oils. MCT is the standard carrier for an oil like this because cannabinoids are fat-soluble and it stays liquid at room temperature.

A glass bottle with a dropper cap, at ten millilitres, which is the small format. Around two hundred and fifty drops in it at roughly four milligrams each. Shelf life is twenty four months and it wants storing somewhere dry and cool, out of direct light, because both cannabinoids and terpenes degrade with heat and UV.

Full spectrum oils taste of the plant, and this one is no exception. Expect something earthy, grassy and distinctly bitter, with a peppery edge from the caryophyllene and a faint citrus lift from the limonene. It is not pleasant in the way a flavoured isolate oil is pleasant, and the terpene blend makes it more aromatic rather than more palatable.

The usual approach is to hold the drops under the tongue for a short while before swallowing. That is a property of the format rather than a claim about anything.

How it sits against the other oils we stock

Two things separate oils in this category and neither is the headline milligram figure. The first is spectrum. The second is whether the seller can show you a batch report.

Broad spectrum keeps the other plant compounds but has the THC removed. Isolate is CBD alone. Full spectrum keeps everything, which is what the people who prefer it are after, and it is also the grade where the per-container question actually bites.

Who should not buy this oil

Anyone who needs certainty about THC. This is the honest one. Until the batch certificate arrives we cannot tell you what is in this bottle against the per-container test, and if that matters to you then an isolate or a broad spectrum oil removes the question entirely.

Anyone who is drug tested. Full spectrum retains THC by design, and no responsible seller will tell you a full spectrum oil is safe for that.

Anyone new to CBD. A thousand milligrams in ten millilitres is a strong oil, the published dosing on it is several times the FSA's daily advice, and a gentler starting point is a better idea than a strong bottle and good intentions.

Anyone who came for what the name suggests. We cannot tell you the product does that, we are not going to imply it, and if that is what you are shopping for then a shop is not the right place to be asking.

And anyone who dislikes the taste of hemp. A full spectrum oil with added terpenes is the most plant-forward thing in this category, and no amount of holding your nose improves it.
