Euphoria H4CBD Solid Hash 10% is a pressed solid weighing roughly a gram, made with 10 per cent H4CBD and terpenes, sold here in Blue Cheese and Purple Kush. H4CBD is a semi-synthetic cannabinoid produced in a laboratory by adding hydrogen to CBD. It is not CBD, it holds no Novel Foods authorisation, and its position under UK law is contested rather than settled. What makes this particular product worth a page of its own is smaller and more practical than any of that: it carries a number. Most of the H4CBD sold in this country does not, and once you have seen how the rest of the shelf describes itself, 10 per cent starts to look like useful information rather than a modest figure.

Go through the H4CBD products in this catalogue looking only for a strength figure and the result is stark.
Professor Herb's H4CBD solid extracts say Extreme High Strength. That is the strength claim in full. There is no percentage, no milligram figure and no way to compare one pot with another. Monkey King's H4CBD pressings say exactly the same thing, word for word. Both are perfectly good products and both leave you guessing.
Euphoria puts a number on the front. Ten per cent here, thirty per cent on the stronger version, and a milligram figure on its pre-rolled sticks. On a piece weighing about a gram, ten per cent works out at roughly one hundred milligrams of H4CBD, which is arithmetic anyone can check and which exactly one retailer in the ranking set bothers to spell out.
That is the reason to buy this one rather than a rival, and it has nothing to do with it being stronger, because it is not. It is the mildest published figure in the range. It is simply the only part of this shelf where you can compare two products and know what you are comparing.
One caveat, stated because it matters. A published figure is a manufacturer's claim, not an independent measurement. What would settle it is a per-batch certificate of analysis, and that applies to the products with numbers exactly as much as to the ones without.

Blue Cheese and Purple Kush are terpene names, and one of them surprises people
Both flavours are terpene profiles borrowed from well known cannabis strains. There is no cannabis flower in either of them and the names describe an aroma rather than a lineage.
Purple Kush is the safer of the two. The seller with the fullest description calls it a rich, herbal scent with subtle sweet and floral undertones, and that is a fair summary of what the Purple Kush profile is generally built around. It reads warm and slightly sweet rather than sharp.
Blue Cheese is the one to think about before you commit. The strain the name comes from is a cross of Blueberry with the old UK Cheese, and Cheese is famous for a reason: the profile is pungent, savoury and genuinely cheesy underneath the fruit. People who expect a blueberry sweet from the word Blue are regularly caught out. If you like the funk, it is the more interesting of the two. If you do not, it is not a subtle thing you can ignore.
Neither flavour is available at the stronger 30 per cent, which comes in OG Lime and Grape Ape instead. The four terpene profiles are locked to their strengths across this range, so choosing a scent and choosing a strength is one decision rather than two.

Three sellers, three different statements about THC
This product is described as full spectrum CBD alongside its H4CBD content, and full spectrum means the extract deliberately keeps the other compounds from the plant, THC among them. So what any given seller states about THC matters.
Euphoria states THC free. One UK retailer states a THC percentage. Another states no THC at all. All three are describing the same pressed solid from the same manufacturer, and all three also call it full spectrum.
We are not going to convert anybody's percentage into a milligram figure for you, and we are not going to tell you the number is comfortably inside the limit, because doing that arithmetic on a manufacturer's marketing claim is how retailers end up asserting compliance they have not verified. The UK test is a maximum of 1mg of controlled cannabinoids in the whole container, whatever its size and whatever the percentage. Deciding whether any individual piece meets that requires the certificate of analysis for the batch you are actually holding.
We have asked our distributor for the per-batch certificates covering the full spectrum lines in this part of the range, and this listing will carry the answer when we have it. Until then, the honest position is that the label statements disagree with each other and we are not going to pick the most flattering one.

The labelling moved while we were writing about it
Our page for the stronger 30 per cent version recorded, in late July, that a Leeds retailer had renamed it from solid hash to solid incense and attached a notice reading not for human consumption, incense, souvenir or novelty purposes only, while still selling the 10 per cent as hash.
We rechecked that this week. The 10 per cent has now been renamed too. The shop's old address for it still contains the word hash and still resolves, but the page it serves is titled incense and carries the same notice. The product reference number is unchanged, so it is the same listing wearing a new name.
Elsewhere in the ranking set the same object is called a collector's item, an aromatic brick, and on one page a product intended for industrial, technical and horticultural purposes. That last one appears on a page that also calls it hash in its own title.
None of this is fraud and we are not suggesting it is. It is what happens when a substance sits in a regulatory grey area: the trade reaches for words that carry less risk, and the words drift over time. The reason to tell you is that it affects what you are buying and what recourse you have, and because a shop that quietly retitles a product is telling you something about its own view of the position. Where H4CBD actually stands, stated carefully
H4CBD is hydrogenated CBD. Hydrogen atoms are added to the CBD molecule in a laboratory, which changes its shape and its behaviour. It is a semi-synthetic cannabinoid, it does not occur in useful quantities in the hemp plant, and it is not CBD. Any listing that uses the two words interchangeably is wrong.
It holds no Novel Foods authorisation and is not on the Food Standards Agency public list, which is why nothing in this part of our range is sold as food or as a supplement. Novel Foods governs things you eat, and this is not sold as something to eat.
The live question for a product like this is the Psychoactive Substances Act 2016 rather than food law, and it turns on what a substance does and what it is supplied for. That position is genuinely contested. At least one UK shop selling this exact item states flatly that H4CBD use is legal in the United Kingdom. We are not going to repeat that, because it is a firmer statement than the facts support in either direction.

Who should not buy this
Anyone who thinks they are buying CBD. They are not, and the difference is not a technicality. If CBD is what you want, our CBD hash range is made from hemp extract and is the thing to look at instead.
Anyone who wants a settled legal position. Our CBD products have one. H4CBD does not, and no amount of confident wording on any shop's page changes that.
Anyone put off by savoury aromas should avoid the Blue Cheese specifically. The name is not decorative.
Anyone expecting the 10 per cent to feel like a milder version of a familiar thing. It is the lowest published figure we carry, but a low figure of an unfamiliar semi-synthetic cannabinoid is not the same as a low figure of something you already know.
And anyone who wants certainty about the THC content today rather than when the certificate arrives. That is a fair thing to want, and until we have the batch paperwork we would rather point you at the isolate products in our range, where the question does not arise.
