Euphoria Choco CBD Hash 40% 1g is a one gram piece of hemp material stated at 40 per cent full spectrum CBD, named for its cocoa aroma. The useful thing to know about it is not the flavour, it is what the product actually is. Despite being sold as hash across the UK, this is not resin collected from the plant. It is pressed hemp infused with CBD extract and terpenes, which is a different material made a different way, and the same manufacturer sells it under that more honest name in other markets.
This is not hash in the traditional sense
Hashish, properly, is resin. It is the sticky trichome material from the cannabis plant, separated and compressed. There are three classical ways of getting it: sieving the dried plant to collect kief and pressing that, rubbing living plants by hand so the resin gathers on the skin, or agitating plant material in ice water so the trichomes break off and sink.
Euphoria's CBD range is not produced by any of those methods. Manufacturer and trade copy describes it as pressed hemp infused with full spectrum CBD extract and selected terpenes. In other words, a hemp base is pressed into a block and the cannabinoids and aroma are added to it, rather than being separated out of the plant in the first place.
That is a perfectly legitimate way to make a product, and it is not a criticism. It is simply a different material from what the word hash leads people to expect, and not one UK page selling it says so.
It also puts the range's naming in a new light. Two of the four products at this strength are called Bubble and Jamaican Charas, after ice water separation and hand collection respectively. Those names describe resin traditions that this material does not appear to go through. They are stylistic references rather than descriptions of process.

The same material is sold as pressed hemp in another market
This is the part that settles it. A European retailer lists the identical manufacturer's product line as Euphoria CBD Pressed Hemp, in the same one gram format, with the same percentage and strain naming convention.
So the material has at least three names depending on where you buy it. In the UK it is hash. One British shop lists a sibling product as incense. In a neighbouring market it is pressed hemp, which is the description that actually matches how it is made.
None of those names is wrong exactly, and we are not suggesting anyone is being deceptive. Pressed hemp with cannabinoids added is a solid, resinous block, and calling it hash is an easy shorthand. But a buyer reading hash reasonably expects collected resin, and this is not that.
We have now found three separate naming inconsistencies across this one range, which is more than any other brand on this site has produced.
Forty per cent, and the milligram figure another market publishes
Forty per cent of one gram is around 400mg of CBD, if the stated percentage is accurate.
That conversion is worth making because a percentage is not comparable to anything else on a CBD shelf. Oils are sold in milligrams for the whole bottle and milligrams per drop. Gummies are sold in milligrams per sweet. A hemp block sold at a percentage sits outside that entirely until somebody does the division.
Here is what makes the omission harder to excuse. The same manufacturer's listings in another market publish both figures together, giving a percentage and its milligram equivalent side by side on a one gram piece. So the conversion is not difficult, not unusual, and not something the manufacturer objects to. It is simply not carried across into the UK listings.
Our own records currently hold no milligram figure for this product either, which is a gap on our side. The percentage is published; the arithmetic has not been done.

What we will and will not say about the THC
Our records list this as full spectrum, and trade copy describes it as full spectrum CBD with natural terpenes. Full spectrum means the extract retains THC deliberately rather than having it removed.
The UK consumer test is that a container holds no more than 1mg of controlled cannabinoids in total, counting THC, THCV and CBN. Per container, as an absolute quantity, whatever the container weighs. On a one gram piece that is a demanding specification, and it is the reason we are careful here.
We do not hold the per-batch certificate of analysis for the stock we would ship, so we publish no THC figure for this product and we make no claim about whether it sits inside the limit.
There is a percentage figure circulating across the trade as this range's compliance credential. It does not work on a one gram product, for reasons we have set out in full on our page for the Caramello version of the same material. Rather than repeat the arithmetic here, we would point you at it, because it applies identically to every product in this range.
Cocoa aroma, and where Choco sits
The name refers to smell. Choco is the cocoa-scented member of the 40 per cent tier, and its closest sibling is Caramello, which is the caramel-scented one. Both are aroma names rather than strain names or method names.
Aroma in this range comes from the terpenes added during production rather than from the hemp base, which is consistent with everything else on this page. A cocoa character in a hemp product is not something the plant does on its own.
Euphoria's wider CBD range runs to fifteen lines in our catalogue at six, nine, nineteen, twenty five and forty per cent, all in one gram pieces. The lower tiers are named after cannabis strains, the top tier mixes aroma names with method names, and none of the conventions is explained anywhere.

Who should not buy this
If you want traditional hash, this is not it, and that is the single most important sentence on the page. This is pressed hemp with extract added, which is a different material regardless of what it is called.
If you want a settled regulatory position, you will not get one here. It is a full spectrum product on a one gram container, in a category the owner stocks on an explicit decision, with no certificate in our hands and no THC figure published by anyone.
If you want something you can measure and compare, a percentage on a solid block is the least comparable format we sell. The oils publish milligrams per drop and the gummies milligrams per sweet.
